Looks like something straight out of an anime - a mono wheel bike. Most coolsome but maybe a bit impractical - the wheel gets in the way of the view and the guy has to lean to see what's in front ^^;
kinda reminds me of General Grievous's wheel bike. ^^ then again you're right design may look cool but is impractical. ^^
Yeah seriously reminded me of Star Wars bike. Didn't know they actually existed. Neat.
Really? that bike's been around for about twelve to thirteen years now... Maybe longer.
Yea, thats been around for a long time. It was featured on the Discovery Channel once. However the idea of a mono-wheel bike like this one is not new. They have been around since the 19th century.. Check out the wiki on it.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monowheel
yeah man i was about to say that!! it looks like General Grievous's
It has been around for a while though, it's flaws are just tricky handling (lean to turn) and having mud and dirt splashin' on your face (no mudguard). Anyway, it's kind of cool ridin' in a monobike.
it would be such a pain in the arse to find spare tires
gantz bike?
Yea, it does look a little like gantz bike... It also looks like the bike from Steam Boy...
Add a cannon and it becomes the bike from the 80's Spiral Zone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TAuo-f5KeI
Yeah Spiral Zone ! That anime rocks ! Or that I recall from my childhood memory...
Mr Garrison patented this bike before Gantz does!
it looks really cool but yeah it's a bit impractical
Wasn't there a South Park episode about a vehicle resembling this design?
Yeah, Mr. Garrison.
yes but garissons version involved the penetrating of various bodily orifices
I wouldn't mind "IT" if it is promoted by (good looking) woman
I still prefer The Dark Knight Film's BatPod (Batcycle)..
I second that! Still a cool bike tho.
Looks ver much like the bike from the movie Steamboy.
First reference from anime was probably Nadia of blue water, from the late 80s.
...cool...but I saw how thay drive and it looked kind of dangerous....
He really suffered when it came to slowing down. LOL. Well, if there were high-wheel bicycles one time ago, why no uniwheel motorbikes?
if there was a speed bump won't he kinda fly if he doesn't slow down in time. lol
I can't imagine how troublesome it is to make that bike turn in a road junction.. But congratz on those who made this bike a reality..
be cool if you could ride it upside down since its only one wheel
GANTZ bike turn to life!!!
lol that's what I thought too. Gantz monobike was awesome ^^
Looks like the one from South Park http://www.planearium2.de/pics/pics-511-5.jpg
i couldn't stop laughing at that
Ha, what a neat thing to create. I can't really see how it can be ergonomic to drive though and if you crash into something, ouch.
i would love to have one of those [-[ with the wheel colored blue and the whole thing white
omg its south park all over again!!! can't remember what the bike was called but it looks almost the same in design except for the controls.
Looks like that vehicle from Star Wars EP. III, lol. What was that vehicle called?
This reminds me of that 80's cartoon, Spiral Zone. Anyone else remember that? Can't seem to find anyone who remembers that show.
i remember seeing this in dragonball as well.
Actually i've seen one of those monobikes in anime movie Steamboy.
This thing appeared in PS2 game Wild Arms 5 too.
OMG tat is so cool! I would seriously want one! Beside Gantz! V Gundam also got this type of bike! Where the baddie MS ride on them!
looks cool but as already mentioned seems impractical.
ROFL! oh man all I can think about is that episode of South Park....
they so stole that idea from V gundam
wow!!! GANTZ!!! XD I would love to see one in action in my town.
Don't remember seeing this in anime before >_<
thank god it doesnt drive like Mr Garrisons, That would be... painful
IMAGINE A BIG BUMP ON THE WAY!! MUST BE REALLY PAINFUL ON THE ARSE!!lol
V Gundam? Zanscare? ring a bell?
I like this better :D http://www.seriouswheels.com/cars/top-2007-Peraves-MonoTracer.htm reminds me of tokusatsu series XD
Yeah, I love this one... A perfect mix of a car and a motorbike.
Been thinking of this, but this might (and I emphasize on "might") be influenced by this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buer (Note that it says: "and has the head of a lion and five goat legs surrounding his body to walk in every direction.") Roll, baby, roll!!
That's pretty cool actually, wouldnt mind leaning to look, since I can ride that thing anywhere since it's so small.
how the hell does he brake?!?!?
Using his legs maybe?like The Flinstones?
Better have good shoes then, and pray that the pavement is not too slippery or that it is not raining, snowing, etc. too hard.
