When I was a young lad, many classmates denied that they ever waxed their dolphin, I made no such claims - made sure that I maintained good health.
Back then there was no internet and I had to get okazu (materials looked at while carrying out the dolphin care procedure) mainly from the Sun news paper - it had a pair of eyes in it every day on page 3.
And then there were times that I had to reach high up for the top shelf to pick up Playboy magazine...
But now thanks to the internet, many young healthy lads don't have to go through the embarrassment of buying Playboy in a shop.
In Japan however, there is nothing embarrassing about buying ero mags from a shop - even with covers like this.
How about you? You is be getting most of your health care materials from the internets or shop or both?

And, where the heck did "waxing the dolphin" come from? Can't imagine the etymology... "Spanking the monkey", yeah. "Beating the one-eyed monster", ok.

Well I used to be an all internet person but then my dad gave me his large stash of mags. It was a very awkward moment because that is when we had our little "talk."
Another reason why i dont use the computer anymore is becuase I gots a new laptop and Im scared that some "little otakus" might jump on it. ^^

Actually it did go kinda like that! Except he was all like, "here you go, Ive been savin these since i was your age and i knew i would probably giv them to you someday cuz now i have your mom." The last part sent chills up my spine. I bet anyone would get that feeling.
I was really surprised that he had some 2D mags since he is not an anime fan.

Ah, Page3 girls... The few things I spotted when I visited London for two days. ^^
Well, things were a bit difficult when the internet was not so developed...
Magazines, television... That was such a pain in the backside.
And then one day, the Internet came... A blessing and a curse at the same time, a double-edged blade to manipulate with care.
Hmmm, I prefer BugBug mag in terms of front illustrations. (-Confession time- It was also the fateful keyword that made me enter your site and never leave again. ^^; Tony Taka banzai!!)

back in the day...i had sources, or should i say source, of vhs tapes. the quality was horrible but I couldn't complain about it, and to add more fuel to the fire, it was taped back in the 70's-ish so it was aweful compared to nowadays. Btw im not even 20 yet so dont assume im like some 50 yr old dolphin waxer

Generally fansubs are pretty accurate, except for those of the "nyoron~" team and some others from what I heard.
Having very little knowledge in Japanese, except for the colloquial expression they use in anime... You can easily imagine the rest of my sentence.

But speaking adult magazines. One time I was snooping around in my brother's room and spotted some adult magazines and flipped through one of them and right in the center of the magazine was a horrible, horrible HORRIBLE!! nude photo of Burt Reynolds, with his nastyness all hanging out. *shudders*
I guess that's why seeing a man naked is such a turn off for me.

I think that particular pic was an ad for DirectTV, about their High-Def films. But, said pic was also done in the '70's for a Cosmopolitan equivalent of a centerfold. How many women back then, er, "shucked their oysters" (that was attempt to make a female equivalent) to this pic I wonder...

I work at a convinient store, some people often feel embarrased or timid about buying Adult Mags, a lot of them quickly put the stuff into their bag. There is this one old guy, 70-80 years old, almost bought out all the Adult DvDs from the store, (like 8 of them?) it was kinda funny buy gross at the same time. I guess it's the mentality difference..

your comment reminded me that only recently I went with husband, his brother and wife to a uh "adult" store, it was kinda entertaining (had to stop self from snickering too loud sometimes, esp at some of the postcards XD), the err toys for women and some stuff I won't mention in case the guys freak out are quite scary tho ^^; They even have a 2D anime dolphin care DVD I think LOL can't remember the title :P
