Getting intimate in public is not something that one normally sees over here but it does happen sometimes. Do you see this sort of thing in public where you are? Me saw loads of it when living in Seattle and London. Image via Byonavi.
it's pretty common here in switzerland to kiss and hold hands in public, unlike japan. gonna change that soon :D LOL
in my city, and my school is very common
probably a little too common over here in Canada i think lol Lol, just noticed where the other hand of the guy with the pink shirt's is...lol and it ain't around the girls other shoulder!
...Or even the small picture in the middle in the left with the pink heart...this picture legit?!
I think he's checking her "fluids"
Yeah i saw that too. Whoa, Thats like way past intimate. Whats the word...umm.....its .....umm...Dam ,whats the word im looking for?????Its not kinky, its um. It means you have a fetish to expose yourself in public...
I believe the word you are looking for is exhibitionism.
Or he could be rebooting his persocom.
lololololol
Thats a everyday thing over here.
oh! when I was in japan last year while hanging out with a couple friends and their 2 kids, I saw a boy student being cheeky (He went and kissed a girl student on the mouth) O_O As for intimate in public, teeee heeee :P
Here where I live (Merida, Mexico) is quite common see something like that. Now is getting more common to see homosexual couples holding hands :s
i dont really see that often. well i did see a couple kissing in the rain here in K-town LA, thought it was pretty cool (sort of cinematic-like reference) haha but no, intimacy isnt a common occurrence around K-town
Lots of that sort of thing back home, but not too common here in Taibei. If anything, what I see most often is guys trying to kiss their girlfriends, who squirm, wiggle, and otherwise resist. I hear a lot of girls aren't even allowed to date until after they graduate from college, so it's no surprise to see less public affection.
It's an everyday sight here. Sometimes there's people having sex in public places too like parks and bathroom stalls. And you'd think that Mormons would tone it down a bit..
I go to BYU and I never see people do anything other than hold hands. If someone is caught making out then it's the talk of the century.
You'll see stuff like this a lot around here
holding hand of course, kissing? not so much, but I keep doing that with my GF :)
while walking through the halls for the five minutes I have to switch classes during school, I will see at least five couples playing tonsil hockey. A little PDA never hurt anyone.
PDA is a common thing here and we don't mind but of course there are limitations
Not so much here in Japan, but have been guilty of it myself from time to time!
I've seen some amazing PDA here in San Francisco.
Holding hands Yes, but Kissing and hugging in public rare.
very common stuff here. in fact i do it all the time with my gf. i've seen a guy with his hands firmly planted inside the jeans of two girls at the same time and i thought to myself, damn my goal in life is to be like that guy.
Pretty much every where I go in LA...
Yep, pretty much a common sight here ^^
In school we have a "No PDA" rule. PDA being Public Displays of Affection. "We want to see space between you two" they would say. But everyone just hid the backway behind the soccer field and did their business there ..sucks for the soccer team.
Getting intimate happens in secluded areas often and very rarely in the open. Otherwise, some moralfag might cause a shitstorm or somebody would take the opportunity by taking pics of people engaged in such activities and post em' to tabloid magazines in one of those gay righteous articles about moral decline in this country.
my thoughts exactly.
More or less, that's also what one is going to get in my motherland if intimating publicly. Moralfags are prominent in both countries apparently. >_<
Corruption? Bigotry? Flawed democracy? WELCOME TO SOUTHEAST ASIA.
This is the worst that can happen when two people are in love... a meddler comes to destroy everything...
@Hangmen13, do you mean "gay" as in an actual gay magazine or article, or were you just using it as a homophobic objection?
I'm using the word 'gay' to ridicule crappy articles found in tabloid mags that tend to publish overexaggerated stories. I'm not attacking homosexuals.
kids nowadays are more liberal. i was in a burger joint one time and there was this young couple, around 15ish, who were like grabbing and kissing each other while in line. everybody was all looking at them and have this expression 'get a room already and get it over with'. don't really care what kids do as long as they are responsible. i'm not against pda as long as it's not heavy petting and french kissing.
Ya, theres enough public displays of affection here, not so much when it's winter, which is sometimes half the year, but they definitely happen. What IS creepy to see it people getting 'ahem' REALLY intimate in a movie theater, which happens way too often.
I've seen people get way more intimate than that in Japan. Like myself behind the subway lockers.....
It's really normal in Vancouver Canada here.
I saw loads of it in Shinjuku station on Christmas Day @_@ I guess even shy Japanese people get brave on that day!
Meh; common sight in my country. Only slightly less common are people who take photos, send it to the news and spark of a huge debate over whether it should be allowed.
Is it?! Coz' I don't usually see people kissing and stuff around here... Maybe I need to get out more... PDA(Public Display of Affections) is not welcome in my school, and if the teachers see you holding hands or whatever, you'll get a scolding...
It's quite common in the US in general I do believe. I know it is in California for the most part :p. It's almost impossible to go somewhere without seeing a couple at least holding hands, most of the time kissing or petting. (It's usually french kissing and heavy petting, at that. Lol.) I can't see how anyone could have a problem with it, it's natural.
It's INCREDIBLY common here in Metro Vancouver. I've seen everything from kissing in the park, to petting sessions in the back of the classroom (Read: Desk next to mine), to full blown sex on the Skytrain.
I'd say holding hands and riding the bicycle together is fine, but the rest are a bit.. too intimate?
Holding hand is common in my country. Kissing is still uncommon, maybe eastern culture still forbid something private like that to be shown in public .
In carnival here we see a lot more than just holded hands and kissu kissu.
Here in Mexico is the most common thing to see couples, kissing each other and holding hands, huging, etc.
Extremely common in France, not so much in Singapore. I find that just sweet ^^ Make me remember, US people seem to call that PDA for Public Display of Affection. Why on earth US people like soooo much to put accronyms for everything ??? like LDR, BO, TGIF, AWOL... I guess, I read too much my gf cosmo...
it's common in S'pore. Well, these "sightings" could be seen around my house area whole year round. u can't imagine what would happen when nite comes..Muhahaha... Sry..
See those thing everyday, since I'm in college now. Put thousands of young people together in a area of 2 miles radius, it impossible not to see that every 30 seconds. Don't know why but I feel kind of sad *crying inside* ><.
Seen only a bit in the open area... Holding hands, hugs, etc. in the normal category is common here. But there are some kisses though... but that's very rarely happened in the public. Sadly it's my friends who are almost don't have any shame when they're dating ~_~
definitely not common in here.... but holding hands are still tolerable
Intimacy in public has declined ever since Kamehameha II came into power; not sure how it was before then, but I do know that weman didn't occasionally wear tops. I mostly see intimacy on school grounds, though it doesn't... excite me.
It's petty common in germany for couples to express their feelings for each other in public. Also girls tend to kiss each other when they meet too, kind of a hello, like a hug or such. Though i and my friends only did observe it at the younger girls on the school grounds, we ourself went with hugs. :)
cant really do that in malaysia..its sorta a islamic country but way to go for the guys and gal in the small picture top left and top right small pic top left: i zoomed in and still cant figure out where the girl has her mouth to..any help? small pic top right: and where the guy has his hands to...any help?
I totally agree with " Tami ". It is pretty common in Germany for couples to express their feelings for each other in public. And in the last 2 years the girls-tend-to-kiss thing becomes even more popular. When I think about it it starts like a temporary fashion in schools, but nowadays you can see it everywhere. Also the girls-kiss-boys-thing when they meet becomes popular. I see it at my little sister ... when her friends spend some time at our house everyone really everyone whether boy or girl welcomes with a kiss. I wonder how long this trend will continue.
I'd have to say it's fairly common here. I've caught people "doing the do", if you catch my drift, and I try to play it off as if I didn't see them.
I think for most places in the US it would be strange to NOT see that kind of stuff going on with couples in public. It really is a part of American culture.
Fat people do it in here as well. D:
Of course it is very common in the US. However I know exactly what Danny is talking about in Japan. When we go see my wife's parents in Hadano they always say that I touch too much. By touch they mean hugs and holding hands. I most certainly wasn't making out. However when we went to Shibuya I saw plenty of younger folk holding hands hugging and occasionally in a lip lock moment.
I'm fairly sure they've just legalized intercourse in a park in Amsterdam. Can't find the article that I read it from though.
yeah yeah i always see that around here SOMETIMES IT'S JUST DISGUSTING
Yep... it's a common thing here in Brazil. A bit too common for my own tastes...
Lol, i'll get arrested and fined if i do that in my country
me here hardly see(or dun see) any kiss or "other"(or maybe I not yet discover :p) in public, but hug sure have.
