Yeah, it looks like only Harubin and Kyan will participate in the Games.
Wait, that means that:
- Itsuki and future Mikuru would be the parents (?!)
- Mikuru and Yuki are two of the children (huh?)
- Kyon and Haruhi are other children
- Tsuruya-San is a relative.
Considering the size of a Chinese family (two parents and one or two children at most) this family if it's not about an extended one, does deserve a WTF.
(Unless of course it is not supposed to be a family at all)

I'd sue them for copying and changing someone else's work.

Why cant the Chinese just make up their own mascots? They have comic artists too ya know!? (Don't get me wrong, I'm Chinese too...)

From my visit to comic/manga panel at London ICA I remember them saying that China is trying to catch up to the comic industry and they adapted Japanese styles...

That 2008 poster or Fan Art is a disgrace.

Yeah sure, I agree that China has sold things cheap but were the cheap goods legitimate in the first place. I'm sure they can easily hire a comic freelancer who can develop a unique character than some slum bag in the street who make fake Haruhi franchise.

Is no one going to stand up and tell China to start producing there own stuff and stop ripping off the rest of the world?

I guess they are smart as they know how to effectively reverse engineer any and all products produced in the free world, but doesn't this also show that they have no creative minds at all and are just a bunch of lemmings ready to jump off a bridge for Mao?

I really couldn't care less about piracy and copyright violation... but this is seriously just TASTELESS.

Specially when you do have pretty good manga authors in China.

They could simply hire some talented artist to create something new...

I mean, if this isn't just some sort of joke.

I consider this as lame as some cover band that doesn't even know how to sing the lyrics correctly and sounds awful. I mean, it wouldn't really be that bad if it wasn't being used to promote something as big as the Olympics...

SOS indeed...
