Maybe what the character is lacking is the mischievous essence Horo has.
I agree, seeing at her upper eyes, to me, they seem too innocent for Horo.

I pretty much watched Spice and Wolf because of the people recommending it at dannychoo.com! So I do the same and recommend this to you. It's a bit slow in the beginning, but it really picks up by episode 4 & 5. By the end of episode 6 I was craving for MOAR!

Started to watch it this week, I like it this far (ep 3). Wasn't able to spot Horos cuteness in this one :/

Sorry, but that is not Horo the Wise. I'm not feeling it. And I agree about the tail. That's just not good enough.
Edit: Also, looking at the other pics on the link I wonder why her tail is poking out of her back, rather than rising up from *under* the dress as shown in the series. But... this might be the clothes used later in the series. I've only watched up to episode 8.
I agree with everyone else, this figure isn't as cute as the other one.
There was a time you could send a request to youtube to allow you to upload longer videos (and bigger in filesize). Youtube doesnt offer this anymore. But people granted this special treatment were allowed to keep their rights.
This horo figure is more like taken from the novel illustration instead of the anime. i think. :O
yeah, definitely a take on 文倉十's (the light novel's artist (ayakura jyuu)) work... think i prefer the anime in this case...

Danny-san, the video was probably put on youtube by someone who has an old "director's" account. They don't give them out anymore, but when they did, those allowed for bigger files to be uploaded. About the figure... The character is damn cute for a furry, but this figure... Just... Meh...
I have watched up to ep 9 of this serie, Horo is quite cute in the anime but as others said, I don t feel anything about this figure... Too bad :/

I didn't start watching Spice and Wolf yet... but I think the figure is cute. Dunno about the resemblance to the character though. But I would really love if they picked this one Horo face from the manga and made a figure of it. You know, the one she's saying "Wah, you can't talk. You have to chew thoroughly."
