This is Hoshino Aki who for some reason has ended up scantly clad on some train tracks.
A shinkansen bullet train (specifically the Nozomi from Tokyo to Osaka) is speeding towards her.
She shouts out to you "I swear to live by your side forever but please save me!"
You whip out your calculator that you carry around with you everywhere - calculate the distance between you and her, her and the train, approximate speed of the train, wind velocity, her approximate weight and distraction time needed for you to look at her eyes.
Your calculations show that you have a 50% percent chance of surviving and rescuing her at the same time.
What do you do?

I'd wondering why she'd be there in such an outfit in the first place, but duty of saving the innocent would come first... Then I'd walk alone in the direction the horizon, dismissing what she would have said.

The chance of surviving, saving her, and taking her home would probably be around 60~70% if you shave off the time of whipping out the calculator and calculating...probably can increase the chance by just losing some dead weight to run faster like the calculator, watch, keys, wallet, bling, clothes...

I would curse myself for not running to her rescue right away, thus lowering the chance of survival with atleast 30%.
And then I would cure myself yet again for taking time cursing myself, thus lowering the chance of survival 3% more.

Well, given that I'm not academically smart enough to be a nerd. I could just ditch the calculator and save time from making calculations by just saving her. Then there'd be enough time to spare to watch the train go past and wave to the passengers while they take pictures of me with Hoshino Aki........................ Awesome..!
So yeah, I'd be going from a 50 to at least an 80 if I don't trip over something.
