Hmm, kinda unrelated, but which one's the more popular magazine now? I was under the impression that it used to be Hobby Japan, but nowadays Dengeki Hobby seems tobe getting he spotlight. Does Max still contribute to HJ?

Oh, and from the lightning bolt in the back, I'd say you got this shot from the Dengeki booth, Sir Danny.

Since Danny wrote that it's a kitbash, I'm pretty sure that it's only for display

although transformers is my religion, i didn't like the michael bay versions all that much. i just consider them as a one shot(even though there will be a movie sequel) in the transformers timeline. at least i get my fix with release of revoltech starscream and hot rodimus ^^
that aside, it does look like a lot of effort went into it, so i'll at least give it credit for that. kudos!

While I'm not so much of a G1 purist as you, I also wasn't all the keen on the designs from the live action flick. However, being that they used Peter Cullen to reprise his voice role for Optimus Prime, it brought that character to life for me in a way that no other voice actor could have done. Be that as it may, this figure has incredible detail and I think most accurately reproduces the onscreen CGI design incredibly well! I prefer my Masterpiece Convoy figure as the best Prime figure ever, but I believe I would definitely buy this figure if I could obtain it.

Another movie I didn't watch- Didn't watch this because I thought Optimus Prime looked like a gorrilla :X
Not to mention that the Decepticons looked bad too.. Starscream was totally ruined for me. And the fact that Megatron does not transform into a gun.. WHY?
