At the office of one of my clients.
I hear the Balance Ball is good for the posture and good for the back too.
We had load in Amazon but I couldn't sit on one for too long - maybe I should give it one more try as it would be better for my back in the long run?

Balance balls are good for stretching exercises too, my mother used to do those back when our exercise ball was still around. It's also good for things like weight-loss... Or so I heard.

You should listen to my advice and do those excercises Danny. They'll do your back alot of good. You'll look ridiculous doin them, but that the price you pay. Just do it Spartan!

Hmm... Wasn't this included in a study once? I believe the results where inconclusive. Maybe it was in regards to strengthening one's abs... Something worth my looking into as well. I could use stronger lower back muscles. Posting in the wrong places again...

Yea they're supposed to be really good for posture, considering we spend a lot of time on computers.

Although I dunno if they make them with different sized heights, for different height tables.

Dunno about balance balls... to me, it seems it would force your back more than relax it.

Doing it for several hours might not be THAT good to your back.

It shure is good to exercise your back, and make you sit straight.

Anyways, take care and be careful about it Danny... I don't want to see you screwing your back even more.

Swimming is probably the best way to strengten one's back, but like I said, it all depends on how's your back. I know some people that couldn't do swimming classes because of back injuries...

I have that exact same ball I use at home in front of my computer. I used to have more lower backaches but after using it, my lower backaches seem to have been less frequent. I like it also because once done, I can roll it under the desk and it disappear from the room, making our office looks a bit bigger/more tidy....

I use one at home in front of the computer and my back feels a lot better than sitting in the computer chair I used to use.

Once when I was a kid I bounced on one of those and then it rolled out from under me as I went up, then coming down I smashed my arse on the ground. Twas quite painful and now I'm scared to sit on those things.

My mother has a ball just like that one. She got it after a back injury, and now it's all she'll sit on at the dinner table. Looks silly, but seems to work for her.

No. 37, Storm trooper on balance ball, crossed off the list of Things I Never Expected to See.

i use the ball for abs. mostly front planks and to hit the obliques. I love them because it helps my rock climbing game, and doing military presses on the ball just totally destroys your core. To get the full use of it I would recommend them to people who are already active. Though after a couple of anime conventions i feel more tired than a 10 mile hump with full MOLLE gear.

I once wanted to see how cats react to this as they normally love round things... But that ball scares them away... Way too big for them I presume. ^^
(And no, I was not going for cruel acts for them. As soon as I got the conclusion I gave up on it)

I should get one of that, as sitting on my chair for hours (which I do everyday) causes my butt to hurt.

You need to have strong core muscles...which means your back, abs and side muscles..

anyway..I hope your doing this with along with your rehabilitation..it's really bad if you self-medicate in your situation..your therapist has to know about it.. ^__^
