The 3D version of Hare Hare Yukai that comes with the Haruhi PS2 game (out now) as a pre-order special. The game companies are giving away more and more goodies to get people to reserve their games early. I got my Devil May Cry 4 yesterday which came with a DVD full of goodies - interviews with the directors/trailers/making etc - just like this Hare Hare Yukai video, I'm sure it wil be uploaded to YouTube soon. Lol Itsuki looks totally wierd wearing the cleric clothes in this dance. Especially at the last part where he looked like he was having fits in his garments.

wow the 3D version does give a fresh perspective to the hare hare yukai dance. dunno if its just me, i think Mikuru looks cuter and Itsuki's custome is cool. But kinda prefer Haruhi in gakuseifuku.
I want a Yuki Figure in that costume.
you know, there is no place on the web (or at least places I looked at) where there is a decent pic of Chouyuusha Haruhi... Other than that, the vid looks weird... And kyon looks so, normal...
damm, I make my order and shipping address to Malaysia and now I'm in London and will be here for 3 years or more! NO matter what, I cant enjoy it within a short while... Only have Haruhi PSP limited with me (T_T)

Awesome! What's the gameplay like? (too busy, can't keep up with it ^^;) Kyon looks GAR as a knight and I also want a Yuki figure with those clothes.
I mean, I loved the series and Haruhi is great and all, but the game looks boring as hell. You've got to be a super fan to enjoy this game. It's all talking, no game play really. More like reading a book, or rather voice actors reading a book to you. My be a good story, so that makes it worth playing.
I'm not sure if you know this...but Haruhi started out as a light novel. As in, a book of words. Six illustrations or less. If anything, it's going back to its roots.

Wasn't that all on that DMC4 special DVD though? Making of DMC4 (clips of mo-cap, director interview), 3 trailers... I found it a bit disappointing (that, and the store's out of 40GB PS3s because apparently the half of Kuala Lumpur decided to get one with DMC4 on the same day). Back on topic. Limited Edition HHY? Haven't the Japanese heard of the Internets? >_
Any chance for this game to cross the pacific ocean? I would be so buying this game if this ever get released outside of Japan - with English sub, of course. ^^
i do hope they keep the original voices, animes of all sorts tend 2 lose its appeal on me when it gets dubbed into any other language then the original, japanese.

I heard some negative reviews about the Haruhi PS2 game, like it's not fully-voiced and they used same OP/ED clip from the anime series. But given the huge popularity of the series, I'm sure it will have a healthy sales.
I want to learn how to dance in plate armor. The custumes looks nice though, cant wait for figures of the rest to be made.
Wow - thats amazing! Ive seen so many badly animated 3d fan videos of the haruhi dance. This one has the movement and likeness absoloutley spot on! Too bad theyre wearing those crummy fantasy RPG clothes though - id much prefer a straight 3d replication of the usual intro.

Wow, that was actually pretty cool. I expected it to look much worse, but it really turned out quite good. Kudos on the animation team that worked on it.
This dance animation is done by mo-cap (motion capture)right? Someone please tell me its not by keyframe animation. Coz it will be awesome if that dance is key-framed. If its key-framed, the smoothness of the animation is just made of win~~
Hm..it's a mixture, I would say.. but, my bet is keyframe. Mocap would produce a much smoother animation..The quality i'm seeing now is something like keyframed. 3d animators are getting more and more pro..T_T
1 word. Amazed. The transition from 2D to 3D really adds a new perspective to it. I especially like how smooth the movements are.
