don't worry, SaiMoe is an annual event and it always takes place every year. be sure to watch out for it around Q3 or Q4 of this year ^^

Do the people who do model judging at a national level have really weird taste? Cause it always seems to be that the models are really pretty, but you've always seen about 100 models way more pretty than they are (OK, maybe not that many, but COME ON, if they're Miss Japan or ANY country, you shouldn't be able to think of a way prettier model from that country off the top of your head). Or is it me with really weird taste?
well, they can only judge from the ppl who are actually competing. So I guess Miss (insert country here) competitions don't pull in the very prettiest girls from around the country as they're being scouted for more lucrative roles.
Indeed. You could also yell at the juries of such contests for being rather blind (if I follow your reasoning), but I fear it won't have much effect.
