A Demo of Devil May Cry 4 was made available for download on the PS3 yesterday and I thought I'd give it a whirl before the actual game arrives next week. My opinion so far? Just wow. The clip below shows a stage thats included in the demo.
I don't have Xbox360 or PS3 so can't play DMC4 for awhile T_T Maybe once my friend beat it, I'll try to play it at his house...
Well, good news for you, DMC4 is also coming to the PC, just like DMC3:SE did.
I stopped playing after the first one. I wonder if its worth picking up a new system for all these new games?
DMC4 is cool but there is still a lack of games for the machine. That could be a good thing though as it would mean you save money ^^;
Its also out on the 360 and played it and its nice. You should pick up DMC again, just avoid 2 but play 3 and 4
@Danny, ChiisaiRamen, thanks for the input. I think DMC2 is why I stopped, everyone said it was horrible. Also, as far as saving money, im trying so hard not to spend money on my new car.. finding it tough with all the new technology.
@Dragun, I was hesitant to pickup my PS3, but did so on a whim with the price drop. No regrets though as I'm rather enjoying the few choice games I have incl. Burnout Paradise I picked up just recently. Just be particular with what games you want, and inbetween releases just enjoy high def blu ray. DMC2 did suck. It was a button mash that required little skill. DMC3 redeemed, but was considered quite hard by most ppl. I wait to get DMC4 till I've heard some more news. Looks good though.
I really enjoyed the demo! I'll definitely be buying the game once it gets released.
the demo didn't really wow me that much, maybe because i've watched too many dmc4 trailers. but still can't wait for the game to be released
This game is awesome! DMC2 turned me off to the series but this one has blown me away. Also, the boss on the second mission was a ball buster, but I managed to pwn him back on my second try :D!!
I plan on downloading it later tonight on my ps3. Finally a new ps3 game to get excited about!

@Jokyng: When I hear about Dante, not only I think about Devil May Cry, but also the Divine Comedy (from where the name is from). I like this name somehow. It will only get difficult when your child will ask or be asked by others (generally the most annoyi... I mean inquiring ones) the meaning of his surname. @Benjamin and serogane: I have watched random TV a bit ago, with a short documentary (rather say a pack of gossips) on celebrities who named their child with extremely stra... I mean exotic names.

Personally loved the demo, although it was a little too easy. Got both the 360 and PS3 version and the PS3 version looked sharper but had more jaggies. My mate also complained of slowdown on the PS3 version but I found they played identically, so maybe they both had slowdown in places? The PS3 pad was so much better for playing the game tho...
I already downloaded it, I should say it's great even though I'm not a big fan of the series, what I really loved was the music. Belial looks great.

I played this on my PS3, it's pretty bad ass. I definitely agree about the music in DMC4. It's awesome, especially once the fight between Nero and Berial start. It doesn't sound very good in the youtube video though. The demo has two different modes a executioner and exterminator mode. Each are really just different levels thats all. The exterminator was fighting against the little runts and stuff, where the executioner was against Berial. The 360 version has a bit better textures and AA, which is surprising considering it was the platform DMC4 was ported to, however the PS3 version while may not look as good (still looks great though), but has a much better controls for it. It's a trade-off I guess. Maybe you guys could afford one of the two systems if you didn't spend so much on figures! ;) One more thing, there is a rumor that the PS3 will be seeing another price drop soon. (299.99 USD)
i've heard that a number of times, but it's actually not true. 360 does not have better textures, its just the default settings in ps3 that you need to play around with a little, i found it true for all games including assassins creed and cod4. getting a better tv also helps.
I have seen both with correct settings enabled, and the 360 does look a tad bit better. But it's not anything to fret over. Personally I'll still be getting it for my PS3, I prefer the pad.
I tried the demo myself on me 360 this morning and was impressed, though not amazed. It seemed like nicer graphics, but more of the same. DMC3 was my favourite action-y type game ever though, so if it improves upon the third one, then it should be excellent. Nero seems really dull in the cutscenes though - one of the main reasons why i liked the third one so much was for the cockiness and likeability of dante, as well as the awesomely OTT and well choreographed cut-scenes. If this has missile surfing and being mildly peeved about being shot in the head by a woman, then im happy :-D

Yes DMC4 demo is a cool. I ave PS3 and play on this demo. I wait to out full game and when time I have money I buy full version. This game is a my Must Have title list.

I've seen previews and test-plays for it in Asia Game Show 2007 last month in Hong Kong. I haven't played the DMC series, so I can't comment much about the gameplay, but the graphic surely is impressive. Besides L'arc~en~Ciel is doing the theme song: DRINK IT DOWN.
Still waiting for the PC version.. i just hope it doesn't require high PC spec. -_-'
