Seems that there are many Spice and Wolf fans out there by judging by the posts in Anime blogs. I'm still on EP1 ^^; This figure of Horo will be out in March by Resinya. Retails for 7,800 yen. its about this man who sells and buys and he suddenly meets Holo[a somewhat cute girl who has wolf ears and wolf tail] whos over 600 yearsold but looks like when she is about 17 or 18 years old. find the rest of it yourself since it is a very fun anime
looks good, amazing how certain anime gets anime so quickly yet others take years for a figure to be released...
I've been downloading this anime but still haven't got the time to watch it due to Suikoden V being too addictive for me >_
I'm waiting to read the original novels. Once I brush up on my Japanese. I enjoyed the manga version thus far, which is my first exposure to the series. The anime didn't really do it for me. Probably the extra characters and the seiyuus.

Horo is really cute in the anime and manga, however the face of the figure doesn't really portraits the cuteness of her. That's the only part I think they could have improved. Like the dress ^^.
YAY! I've been waiting for this figure. Spice and Wolf is currently my favorite anime, so far it has a good chance of being in my top 10 fav.

Didn't watch it yet also, but I saw this Horo pic taken from the manga where she's with a stretched face... I automatically fell in love. :P I'd post it here but can't find a proper link... she's saying something like "Wah, you can't talk. You have to chew thoroughly."
oh, and I also would like to know how they fit the video that size on YouTube. My previous attempt on YouTube came out bad... horrible quality.
I didn't now anything of the anime, but the figure is pretty cool, i don't like the ears, but in overall i may buy it depending on size and price
Spice and Wolf is definetly one of my fav series of this season, probably more then zoku sayonara zetsubou sensei, and that says alot. And I adore szs.

Her face looks not moe at all. And I've been enjoying the manga a little more, the anime version is good but Horo is way more cute in the manga version.

I really like the anime. The figure is good, too, however it would be better to show her with an open mouth so we could see a few sharp canine teeth. Also... cast off clothing would be nice, too.

I agree, based Horo's character it would be better with her doing an open mouth smile and showing off some canines...other than that this is a real good figure...

I agree, the eyes do look a bit funny. I'm quite surprised that the figure is coming out after only a few episodes, though thats probably because of its popularity through the manga.

I've seen figures come out when there was only a manga of it, apparently you guys all think that it's the anime that brings about the figures. It's not. So this isn't rare or anything.

man i love spice and wolf.. its getting pretty good so far.. thats really good quality for youtube... and the full episode... maybe they must use something besides mpeg or mpv formats because those dont really fit it in.. but i stopped using youtube for any anime.. crunchyroll.com or veoh.com ftw

I remember seeing an article on Spice and Wolf from a Hong Kong blogger called Shadowzo (暗黑熱血), though he only focuses on the light novel. What makes this novel special is that it's different from other typical genres such as "Swords and Magic", supernaturals, or school theme stories. He mentions that the swindling and peddling plots are not accurate or skillful enough to that of the cruel real world. Perhaps it's too predictable or it is simplified for general audience. On the other hand, the up-side of the novel is Horo (depends on whether that's your type or not), arguments/dialogs between the characters, and unique genre of the novel. He said that it's a good book to read if you don't put too much thoughts about it (ie. read very casually). One thing he does worry is whether the anime will sway away from the original style of the novel, as it is more sexual than the novel's settings. On a final note, the novel's more expensive than other light novels out there, which is another thing he didn't like about. I enjoyed watching this anime very much. I never saw an anime with it's main plot revolving around merchendice. Really can't wait for the second season.
