I never understood the point of transformers revoltechs. They pose nicely and all but the main draw of transformers toys was that they, y'know... Transform!!!

It just doesn't seem to fit for me.

True, but transforming figures pose like a brick.

Subaruhess.

i bet to differ. the takara Binaltech/Alternators series and masterpiece series of toys are not brick-like at all.

i'm truly amazed at it's engineering behind those complicated transformation. took me quite a while to transform one. ^^;

Agree with Gordon. The Alternators series has lots of joints in its transformers. Takes a bit of effort to get it in and out of robot form as it is quite complex for a toy.

@Gordon, FatB, arent we talking about $75-$150 for the alternators series? I know they are beautiful, but for the average person, this is a bit much for a toy (even though they are more like high grade models).
Revoltech is okay, I have to admire the posability, if not the fact that it doesnt transform.

Alternators line is good in posing but not so good in variety, they only have like4-5 transformation templates for the entire line.

If you really like the pose-ability and accuracy, you would go to masterpiece line, but even that cost a fortune.

So for fooling around with pose, revoltech is the way to go

i don't really mind the price as long as the quailty is good. ^^;

sadly the Binaltech series has ended. i like Binaltech for it's die-cast metal parts. the Alternator series are in plastic. :-(

I can't wait to buy those! :D That Revoltech Starscream would look good beside the Revoletch Megatron. ^_^

Starscream is my favorite character and I love the Revoltech action figure line, so that product is just perfect. :)

Btw, guys, check this out. This is what Starscream would look like and the other Decepticon jets if they were real.

I already own the two other transformer revoltech figures and they are great. Starscream is a must have to get , but I wished they made Grimlock as a revoltech instead of rodimus prime.
But still I'm happy ,its fun to see 2 nice figures added to the revoltech line from the transformers world. Here is hoping starscream gets the gun(megatron) to hold and shoot prime :p

i love transformers! i got most of the takara Binaltech/Alternators series and masterpiece series. ^^;

i grew up watching transformers cartoon, together with ghostbusters, ninja turtles etc. ('~')

btw do you guys think the same as me? as in cartoons in the 80s/early 90s are better than the cartoons today?

What a coincidence... I just found pics of the Prowl model I once had on my childhood (Action Master version) while thinking of the Transformers movie that I found rather cheesy (the humans' dialogues and plot) and unfamiliar at times (the robots design, why they removed Prowl and replaced him by Barricade, Jazz'd end, etc.).

Those models are great and I feel this is what Revoltech excels at... Articulated non-anime-like figures. ^^

@Gordon, it was definetly better in the 80's. The quality of animation was better. Heres a sample:
BTW, this is the funniest Transformers clip ever:

I like the design and attention to detail of the Revoltech Transformers figures...but they're so incredibly small! If they were about twice the size that they are or a little larger; they'd be worth buying IMHO.

Finally some colored pics. Looking good. Now I'm seriously contemplating getting the four figures.

People may complain about the lack of transformation, but that's not the point of the Revoltech line. C'mon, can anyone honestly say that the G1 toys had the coolest poses?

I need Megatron and these guys! They look great. Optimus Prime was a tad dinky for my taste, but with the whole gang it should be alot more enjoyable.

Cant wait for the Fist of the North Star revos to come out.
