Bandai is releasing Gundam Musou on the PS2 and XBOX which has up until now been a PS3 only title - out next month. The new version is entitled "Gundam Musou Special" and includes new mobile suits and scenarios. How many PS2 owners out there who haven't bothered with the PS3? The PS3 version below. I was totally blown by the news, I'll definitely get the game. I'll only get a PS3 when Final Fantasy XIII comes out, before that it's no deal
the game looks like any other gundam game.....like a big pile of poo...i have a ps3 and will never put this game in my baby...ew
As much as I am damn tired of the whoel dynasty warriors thing, even if it now has gundams, I have to say this is a good move. Such a simple game seems so out of place to be on next gen consoles.
I'd prefer for my enemies to be more responsive. But again, I tend to be the type of player that "takes no prisoners" and destroy everything in his path (the contrary of what I do in reality). Little AI, huge numbers... Yes, I see some opportunity to unleash total annihilation as well as accumulated daily pressure in that kind of game. ^^;
yeah, its the perfect game to unwind to after a long and stressful day. have it on PS3, but am thinking if I'm gonna get the ps2 version for the additional stuff. Darn you Bandai-Namco!
IF every enemy unit in the game was more responsive, then the game would get really, really hard, cuz that means you would have to run a bit away from enemy attacks. However, maybe in hard/super hard mode you will find this type of responsive enemies firing at you from all angles at once.
@Robostrike: Obviously you're right, but what good soldier/mecha just stands there doing nothing (or even runs at you), with "Please end my misery!" written on their faces? If I were the general of such armies, I'd pull all my hair out of rage until I'd turn bald. XD
I agree with D Blade.. I've also played another game similar to this (Demon Chaos), and the overall lack of response from the enemies makes it a little boring.
Hey don't be scolding those AI, FYI, I like AIs with " Please end my misery!" written on their faces...
I played the demo (Dynasty Warriors: Gundam here) and I'd have to say that it wasn't particularly exciting. It seemed repetitive and the gundams just didn't seem like the big oversize mechas they are in the anime.
Hey Danny thanks for the plug again. ^^
hmmmm, imo very boring game play. I don't think I will get this game.
lol wut? this game looks like ZOE from ps2 and ZOE still beat this game including the graphics and everything else
Gundam Musou is available fo PS2?! that's great news! i'll Definetlly buy this game :D
It's already on XBOX360 and there is demo on Marktplace if someone want to try. For me it's nothing special and it's NOTHING like ZOE.
AWESOME!!!!!!! i'm so going to buy it. i hope it has RX-79(G) ground type mas.prod. and NT-1 alex in the game
100% will getto~
I will rather take out my Sengoku Basara 2 to play rather than playing this. Repetitive moves, no new moves given when levels are gain only combos length. The AIs are so dead and lastly, stages all look the same. For Sengoku Basara 2 are much more fun..... New moves are obtained on certain levels you gain, sometimes need to be tactical during fights, combos can be customised with power moves, power moves can be switched according to situtions. Special moves are just plain crazy, nice to look at too. Alot of gameplay modes to choose from. Power up items can be found or bought. Very cool looking character designs. Gundam musou are just for gundam fans. thats all i can say. Want good Musou type game, Sengoku Basara 2 or Heroes are for you.
This is exactly like Samurai Warriors. So I already like it, even If I will never get it.
is there freedom gun*** in gun*** musou? no freedom, no deal
nope, no machines from any series newer than Wing.
try another century's episode 3, it's got the freedom and a bunch of other cool mechas from other series. only downside is that you need to know some japanese to be able to play the game.
Not entirely true as the game has Turn A gundam which is newer than wing! no Gundam X tho... UC wise, ZZ gundam is the latest you'll find in the game so no Nu, F91 or V Gundam either.
i'm not convinced that this game will run lag-free on the ps2 when it sometimes lags on my ps3 when the screen is full of enemies. and i wish they actually implemented better gameplay mechanics, this game is just a dynasty warriors clone with gundams and customization. if you like this game, i would recommend zone of enders 2 on the ps2, or any of the another century's episode games, those are always fun.
I never noticed any slowdown on my PS3 version. And I have to admit that it felt like more was going on in the PS3 version in terms of background movements and possibly number of units compared to the 360 when I got the demo to compare. But why do ppl always recommend ZoE2 as "the mecha game to play?" In my opinion, the first game was superior in terms of gameplay and mechanics. I'm playing ZoE2 again now and there are so many parts which just frustrate you until you want to crush your own balls when suddenly, the game does the equivalent of bending over for sudden revenge rapage! Nephtis comes to mind!!!
looks as good as dynasty warriors
this game was good......... but its the way the weaponsblast off is a bit lame. + graphics are a bit wierd.. besides the landscape background. recieves at least a 6.9/10
Gundam musou at PS2 ???? Yippie i'm really so happy because i'm stil dont have PS3 or XBOX 360
HELL YEAHH!!!! finally those fu^&#@s are going to release the Musou for PS2. YEEES!!!! thanx for this mini-post DANNY!! *so excited*
This game was a bit dissapointing. You can't even aim with a beam rifle so u mostly hav to use beam sabres to kill the enemies. I rather stick to Gundam seed Rengou vs Zaft II, a much better game.
