Now we get to see some video footage from the Street Fighter IV game. A few more images and video clips at Like Harmony.
Yeah, I saw video of it last week at 1up.com. I can't wait for this game!
The last StreetFighter I played was SF2 LOL (that was on MegaDrive =__= ) why PC gets no love from these fighting game? ;__; *the only one i knew for PC are MeltyBlood and GuiltyGear series
Hmm... seems not much different than the SF EX series, except for the canon storyline and a more dynamic camera? But then again, "More than meets the eye"?
Are you kidding me?! It's got nothing to do with EX apart from the 3D characters. The gameplay, as far as I know, remains 2D. In EX they made the (big) mistake of making the gameplay 3D with the dodges and stuff, which, together with the lack of Street Fighter feel to it, killed the game... Thank God, this one's only 2,5D I guess.
Yup i agree with you it just upgrade quality about gameplay nothing so different
Not bad, didn't think it was going to play out that smoothly.
what's with black smoke thingy? kinda annoying. :-/
i think that's just their way of being creative. it isn't part of the gameplay, they were just using it to skip to the next scene. I read that they were going to be using calligraphy/brush strokes heavily in the game menus since they were present in the game trailers.
can't wait for the game!!
The only problem i had with this game is the character's faces (You'll need to find the HD video to see them). Ryu look like some Japanified Spartan, lol.
yeah they kinda look like cavemen to me though.
Can't wait to see Chun-Li and Cammy's face... XD
Just don't die when you do see their faces...
Die of nosebleeds or of frustration (if Capcom ever screws up)? Got to wait for the final result. ^^
@D_Blade: I think nosebleed wouldn't be so bad if I had the choice XD Then I also hope the developers won't "oversize" their breasts like they tend to do with every new Soulcalibur game coz it tends to become a little bit ugly (Taki and Ivy in Soulcalibur 4 are just too...) =__=;
Im not that excited about it really, I'm glad the gameplay is still 2D but I just dont trust capcom enough with their whole obsession on turning things meant to be 2D into 3D. so many games out there are still top notch being 2D, dunno what they are smoking. But Im not really gonna condemn it completely before I get to play it. Either way I have SF3 to fall back to in case this somehow fails.
Street Fighter IV is freaking awesome!!! i can't get my hands on it ^___^
I quite like the style of this (Save for the faces, of course) but I much prefer how SFIII looked.
SORYUU-KIN!!!! classic.
It's "Shoryuken!" But hey... ^^ Old-style 2D fighting games fan here.
I never knew how to spell it.. but w/ev then.
This brings back memory of me being a game crazy 10 year old at the local mall's arcade back in 1994. I'm so glad the feel of the game is just like Street Fighters 2 and 3. Can't wait ^_^
I sort of like the new art style tweaks that Capcom are doing for SFIV. It reminds me of the bulkier style the characters had way back in SFII, which is the game that got me interested in the series over 10 years ago. Definitely a big nostalgia factor, but very nice looking. I'm also interested in the gameplay tweaks that are supposed to make everything more offense oriented. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this game in the months to come.
It looks like interesting in the first sight, but only playing the game to know for sure how good, or bad it is...
for which game console is this? thanks.
looks like it's 2 1/2D which is all well and good for me, but I thought this was a proof of concept demo not necessarily representative of the final build.
I actually like the art style they're going with SF4. And since it's still basically a 2d fighting game I'm hoping it'll be good. I'm sure they've learned the mistakes they made with EX...the controls there was soooo totally crap.
SF4 is set in between SSF2 turbo and SF3. The new girl Crimson Viper looks cool, yet many criticized her as a KOF girl. Yet her face looks quite original. Akuma is also confirmed in the roaster.
