Just a reminder that the new season of Gunslinger Girl starts week after next on the 7th of January. Official site here and OP from previous season below. The new season on your watch list?
one of my favorite series gets a new season...the long wait starts for this US Otaku...
My sister has the 1. season on DVD but I'm not sure about watching it, do you guys I approve it?
Argh, the last "I" shouldn't be there...
yes, i thought is was a good series...its rather serious, as there is no fanservice, but little girls and guns...especialy Henrietta and her P90...bloody good fun...
Honestly, if it was a more serious series like you say, I would be more inclined to watch it.
Alright, it's settled! I'll watch the first season as soon as I have the time to. Thanks jep'ray a serious series with good plot is never wrong.
Wow, S2 started sooner than I thought.
Guns and Little Girls do go together
Moar little girls with guns! You know the OP kinda reminds me of a Radiohead song with the tempo, mood and effects.
The anime made me buy the CD of the Band who made the song, they have a few good songs. (The Delgados - The Light Before We Land)
whoa.. season two is coming.. definitely in my watchlist well.. i still havnt watch season 1.. too much anime to watch..
I really enjoyed the first season. I also had no idea that a second season was coming, so this comes as a pleasant surprise!
it's about time this showed up. been wanting a second season for long, last one didn't really tie up a lot of loose ends
I always thought it would be an interesting show. The reality is I thought it was boring. I'm more into the scifi tho so... wha eva.
More then ready for a second season. For those who haven't seen season one pick it up it's a good watch. Good mix of action and story. Some episode get a bit melancholy but its all good. My favorite girl would have to be Triela,
I kinda expected this, seeing the 'meh' ending from the last season. Triela FTW.
i liked the first season alot and ready to watch this one ^.^ woohoo
This is definetly on my watchlist ;) I love this series and been following the manga
season 1 havent watch, need to find it and watch before 2nd season is arrive...
Read the manga and not too hooked. Maybe try the anime and let's see if I'm hooked.
*inserted to watch list* i love GsG manga and anime, not 1st season anime ending though. pinocchio come to live!
The second season is definitely on my watch list. Gunslinger Girl (season 1) was one of the best and most heartfelt anime I've ever seen. Oh those poor cyber lolis with guns --how I cried. I hope the ending to this season isn't as cheesy as the last.
The first season made me cry, i loved it. In my opinion it's really good... now lets see what season 2 brings... except girls and guns. ;)
Definetely on my watch list. Hope the DVDs find their way to R1 asap
finally... the time has come :p gonna watch this :D it's in my must watch anime list
defnitely watching this
I havn't even got to watching no. 1 yet... d@mn i'm really behind!
About time too.
Anyone else worried by the cartoonish character drawings? Surely thats just for the website and the second season will reatain the drawing style of the first season, right?
Yes this will very much be on my watch list. I enjoyed the fist season and the second should be just as good.
Wow, that was a long time coming. I hope they can keep the tone of the first season.
wow. second season? more infiltration = more base belonging to little girls.
This story sort of reminds me of Ghost in the Shell, how the orphans are like shells for those used by the hierarchy to bring down organizations that threaten the destruction of the current society. Other than that, I have only watched a few episodes and really addicted...how to find out where the rest of my episodes went... >.>
Warning to all those watching or planning to read this series - it is ... very emotional. Basically little to no fan service with lots of slice of life, with violence, death and sacrifice as the main motif. You'll come out sad and wanting more, and utterly unfulfilled (just like Dicken's Great Expectations)
