Yoko makes a guest appearance in the latest Dance Dance Revolution for the PS2 next Feb. I thought DDR looked silly until I tried it - then went and got two mats and was hooked ^^; Anybody else play DDR? Via Dengeki Online.
Nope, never tried it before but looking at others, it looks like a hard game, I'm not one to move about when playing games... But I would like to try it~
Me is not good at dancing at all, I don't have Danny's mad skills, but I would also like to give it a try... someday... maybe ^^;
yes, i love ddr. i don't like how the mats always break on me though. does this happen to other people? maybe i just use it too much.
I used to play it non stop, I was really good but then I stopped thanks to getting hooked on an MMO now I'm to weak to play it now it seems.
I'm not really good at DDR....my moves are just too stiff
to *hatsukashi* to play in the arcade LOL ^^ my sister play it like crazy back to PS1
I played DDR for awhile some 5 - 6 years ago, and then I stopped. I don't remember why did I stop though ^^
What a coincidence. I just saw the same thing a couple hours ago when I saw bluemist play the song on the DDRSN2 machine in an arcade a ways off from here.
I dont own PS2 ;__; nor play DDR related game at arcades. But I enjoy watching ppl battle each other on this kind of game. They can even do breakdance and somersault on the thing O_o
i prefer the guitar and drums version. ('~')
DDR and the Wii are a series of games and a console (respectively) that seem truly silly at first, especially when seeing people close to you playing them... You could point your finger at them and laugh to the verge of tears (mockery or simple fun?). But once you try and get the feeling, you open yourself to a new world. In summary, you become a convert and the cycle repeats itself. ^^
Yeah... I tried this and couldnt get into it. Guitar hero is better in my opinion. Isnt this the chick with that skull in her hair? You know, she has huge guns.... and huge guns.
I prefer DDR with my lack of ability to dance. I can't do very well on guitar hero. Tried it recently. Didn't go over so well. I can play guitar, but I can't hit five colored buttons in sync with a strum-motion-button. I don't get it.
Jonny Boy, Thats because it has nothing to do with playing real guitar! I think there was a whole South Park episode on this.
i play professionally
I've been playing for about 4-5 years. Only have around 5 or so AAAs but can AA more difficult songs ( Survivor, 300, Sakura). Can't wait for my local arcade to get the Supernova 2 software.
I totally enjoy DDR! I already have Supernova 2. Got it off bitorrent a month ago. Haven't unlocked that song yet though.
Stepmania = DDR for pc.. i love making steps :)
Agreed. I love Stepmania. I got a nice metal dance pad for it. Many of the stepfiles were obviously made for keyboard users though. *_*
I was the same way about DDR. Now I have plans to save up money for a good Cobolt Flux pad since mine is crapping put on me Also, DDR Supernova 2 is already out in the States. I've been tempted to pick it up. but, with a crap pad, not sure how much use it will get till the CF arrives
CobAlt Flux (My bad on the spelling) And for those interested, here's link for the site where you can order them http://www.cobaltflux.com/
I did play ddr years back, but I always hated how the steps never really stuck to the rhythm of the song and how it felt so unnatural. Then a friend intorduced me to the korean equivalent, pump it up. Now THAT was a good dance game! it really felt as though you were dancing!
I can't believe I'm the first person to ask this... Why is Yoko in there?!
The song Trust is part of the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Soundtrack - look on the SONG DISC. It's a great song too!
... you're right. It's in the character song disc. I fail. And the disc even has this DDR version. Moar fail from me.
It's a fantastic song. Lurve rock-arranged pop songs :D
Bah. I would have liked to see that on my American version of the game. Haven't played very far into it yet, but I doubt that's one of the unlockables on my copy.
Love ddr, play whenever I get the chance. But lately (and by lately, I mean the last year), there's been no room to play DDR without being short of killing yourself banging into something. So whenever I go to my friends house, I just bring the game (and mat) and we play some DDR.
I love DDR! Actually I'm hooked to games like this such as Guitar Freaks (arcade version of Guitar Hero), Dance Maniax, and Drummania. I always play DDR at a near by arcade place everyday. I guess it's my exercise for everyday. xD
I play all the time, unfortunately I know no one nearby who care about it half as much as me, so I never have any opponents. =(
yay DDR! ^^
definitely one of those "you gotta try it at least once" experiences... most people laugh at it without ever having tried it and that pisses me off. As for myself, I own a mat myself and play in the privacy of my own home. :P
i only have the DDR for PS :( i'm planing to buy the DDR for PS2 (the thing is that it's soo expensive $40 that it hurts me to buy it) but anyway it's worth it
I love ddr but I can't do anything above light level...
True Story: Years ago my buddies and I used to hit the glass everyday and we would literally tweak on games for days at a time. No sleep, no food, but lots of water, games, and about 875,633 pit stops at the can. We started with all the versions of DDR on the PS2 we can find, and when we mastered ENDLESS with 9,999 combos with moved onto StepMania on the PC because it had more songs. Eventually our thumbs fell off. Interestingly, we all twacked on DDR using the controller and only one of us could really use the dance pad. He went on to Las Vegas to enter a DDR competition and won best-of-show for the BBoy tricks he pulled. We eventually ate him. LOL! And we're all clean now too ..LOL!
First time i played ddr i was really bad at it. I could not even pass a stage. Bought the game and pad. Played at home everyday. Really good exercise game. Except the lound thumping sound when you jump.
Yeah, i play quite a bit myself. i started around the time 2nd mix was released so i got an early start like others here, haha. I did buy home versions for a while and then stopped after some of game systems were stolen from me a few years back. Now i play with stepmania but i still consider myself an average player...according to my scores, heh. I do have a colbalt flux pad myself and they are really worth the price. before that i went through all kinds...like the cheap plastic, hard plastic, metal, etc... I also like to play doubles when i am at only do it that way because it's easier for me to feel where i am the arcade (barefoot that is). i stepping. This is in turn did help my find my way to the other bemani games too. first started with guitar freaks, the drummania, iidx and so forth. in my eyes...the arcade version of guitar freaks really shouldn't be considered as guitar hero for reasons here and there.
Member of a site called DDR Freak (usually, I'm called Zonic, Zoniku, or something related like that). This is going to be on the Japanese version of Supernova 2 for PS2 (we didn't get it on ours). Sky Girls also made it on DDR (the OVA OP).
Danny, when will we see a DDR Trooper video? ^_^
Yeah, I play DDR once in a while. It's so much fun at parties! ^_^
Brilliant, I love DDR. I have an impact soft dance mat which is great. I've only a played a few times at an arcade, otherwise I use stepmania on PC.
I'm hooked! Its the only game on my psp! I challenged the Spanish champion... and lost xDDDDD twas awsome tho :3
