There will be an event next Sunday (Nov 9th) in Odaiba called Ita G Festa where there will be over 500 itasha on display. The event is turning out to be quite an otakufest and there will also be cosplayers too. A group in Cure are looking for girls who are free for the day willing to cosplay as Ranka and Sheryl - they need two of each and will pay 15,000 yen to each person who ends up cosplaying. Good Smile have told me that they plan to be there but are still making the car which is not finished - could be a slight chance that they cant go. If you are in town and plan on going then contact me though my Facebook and we'll meet up. You can see more pics like this Itasha pictured here at a previous Comike.
Sounds like alot of fun. Danny do you have a map or the station that this event is closest to? I'd like to go and am fortunate enough not to be underway or one duty for this one. ^_^
Ah, nevermind found it. http://www.geibunsha.co.jp/mook/ita/index.cgi?cmd=500 Looks like its not that far from Aomi Station (青海駅) on the Yurikamome line.
Omg look So cool!! I have nerver see an Itasha In my life I would like to see 1 T_T ( haha maybe i should make 1? XD) I really like the 1 in the picture :D. sight That post make me happy because i can see one ( in picture) but make me sad on same time because i cant touch it XD
is that a pantsu on the number plate? oO
yea i think that there's a pantsu on the number plate. talk about going the distance :D
I'm not sure what's more scary, the pantsu, or the fact that the panchira girls on the hood doesn't strike me as weird anymore ^^;;
The number plate-pantsu is *epic win* not scary^^
Itasha!! I'll be waiting for the pictures ^^;;
Danny! You have to get some good pictures! I love those darn Itasha cars. Wish we had them in America, especially in Los Angeles but most racers here only have JDM. No one has an import. Actually i've only seened 2 imports in Los Angeles that i can remember. One was an imported early 90's Civic hatch back and recently i saw someone with a very old imported Fairlady Z S30. Old but i'd still drive an old rusted S30 only because it's imported with right hand drive cab. ^___^ Make sure you can get as many R-32, R-33, R-34, S13 hatch backs & S15's as you can. But any picture is good enough.
well at least you saw 1 you lucky Here in canada quebec I am sure people here would be against that..
Huh? You mean an Itasha? No no no, there is no Itasha here that i know of yet. I said i've only seened 2 imported cars in my life so far. They didn't have Itasha. But..........if i get an oppurtunity in life i will get my own Nissan 240SX, tune it up and beautify it with Itasha.
waa nice ^^ I think about that too but here people don't really like anime/manga japanese stuff...Still think about It :D ( if ever you have 1 post it please hahah :P)
Are Canadian laws that strict about Anime? I'm very confused.
I dont think its about law its about people opinion...people here mostly think that manga and anime are cartoon and that is for little boy or girls...
i would soo smash into that car if i see it on the street -. too attractive
YESSSSSSSSSSHHHHH! too bad i dont habituate in japan or i would SOOHHHHHOOOOOHOH be there...
Wow, that's quite awesome. Although if an anime hating cop were to see you driving the car... ^^'' or for that matter any anime-hating person.
That's a risk an otaku is willing to take.
Wow it be cool to see some hot itashas and tuners. I'm a big car fanatic.
Will try to go inside more of them this time.
If there's one maaaaanly thing I never really had much interest in... that thing is cars. Itashas are making me get interested on them though. :P Gotta love the license's plate pantsu!
More pics pl0x ^^ Since I'm obviously unable to attend it.
I was thinking the very same thing :) I presume that Danny will make a huge article about this event and it will be full of pictures.
Looking forward to the photos, too bad I'm not in Japan. Unlikely, but it would great to see an Index or Kannagi ita-sha soon :)
Wow awesome!!!! You don't get to see things like that in Clovisland often except for the public utility vehicle known as Jeep X_X My dream is to have a Mazda RX7 with Hatsune Miku design all over it XD this will be an awesome review if Danny could cover it ^^
LOLZ! Clovisland is the Philippines?! XD
that's so exciting! :D Have Fun there Danny!!!
waiting for photos also.. since they are looking for ranka and sheryl cosplay, we can expect to see more of macross frontier itasha right?
They don't accept guys right? Too bad I can't get that 15000yen... LOL I'm not even in Japan anyway...
If I was in Tokyo I think I would be there with my camera bag! Hope Good Smile will be able to make it...
i envy these itasha owners on the fact that they can afford to play with impreza STI, s15, 350z, evo, integra and such ;__;
Well, if you're comparing the price in M'sia, we are paying 300% tax on those imported auto-mobiles........
Days like this I wish I lived in Japan...or at least there for that time frame for the events...
I want those cars. =_=;
I remember that Good Smile Company become a sponsor of an BMW Z4 in JGTC 300 class. I love the car because it have Hatsune Miku theme on it. Maybe they will display that Z4?
any malaysians know where to get something similar? i want to smack something like this across the wifeys car :)
you can cutomize the stickers at Toms Stickers or any similar shop. Pricing is unsure, but it can be done
ok. will drop by when i'm free... i kinda feel it ain't gonna be cheap, no?
I love car shows, specially all the hot models ^^. Do you guys go for the cars or the models? I go for both, though, the models make these events so much better. Will be looking forward to pics from the event.
Wow, cool. Would love to see that.
I will be there when it starts at 10 (don't have Facebook, sorry...). Just keep an eye out for the foreigner in black jacket, dark glasses and a Nikon (trying not to stand out)...
Wow that looks so cool, I'd love to go to something like that. I hope Good Smile can make it, their car would be awesome for sure. Take lots of pics for us Danny!
Nice! I can't wait to see more pictures of those Itasha. But that doesn't mean I want my own Itasha though. Would rather drive a normal-looking car. Preferably a black car.. because black looks good XD
If I had guts I would choose to make an Inyouchu Ita-sha fwahaha... that would be a sight of pain and pleasure.
omg, poor cars D: how they do that kind of print in the car?
They only look good if they are worked into a design. I'm tempted to get something done to my own car. @Martini It is sorta like any other peal and stick decal, print on a large format printer onto the decal sticker paper and put it on.
There are also some that are done by hand of course.
ahh =O right, like in the rallys when the cars are full of stamps and stuff xD
Get some cool pictures for us:)
Otakus + Ricers = SO-JAPAN-ESE xD
Love it! I would have the tsundere themed car equipped with custom horn saying urusai! urusai! urusai! but that would never fly in the states.
Sounds interesting. Too bad I can't go (since it is so far away...)
WOW!!!! I must go and have a look there this weekend!!!
I like the stickers (mesh) of the car's picture. Specially the pantsu of the girls... Wow cool event I wanna be in!
Even though I am not into cars, they do look quite cool. It would be nice to cosplay Ranka at such an event, even for free. :D
I would like to be photogrpahed in front of that car.
I've spotted two cars which had 'anime styled pictures' on it but, no particular series, If I recall correctly. That is the limit to Ita's over here XD
ITASHA SUBARU STI = EPIC WIN
