I watched the drama version (I don't watch anime version though), my impression is it's just another standard show. I hope the anime is better than the drama.

The anime is extremely slow paced. Incredible artwork and somewhat interesting stories in each episode, but the pace made it impossible for me to watch.
I was able to catch a few episodes of this as well, it was kinda like watching the twilight zone in full colored anime. ^^ I'd probably buy this figure, If I didn't know she was a moe from hell. lol guess I'm a bit superstitious. ^^;
A highly recommended watch is all I have to say.

This Enma Ai is a must !! Will be in my buy list. Anyway, IMHO this anime is quite good although is in slow-pace. But quite sad to see the ending in the second season "Futakomori"
A friend of mine wanted me to watch this, but it's about horror and it airs at night in Singapore, so.... *shivers*
Jigoku Shoujo isn't that scary (if at all)... one anime that did kinda freak me out though was Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.
nah, it aint scary at all. you can watch it in the dead of the night and still remain sane the next day.

ive watched the whole series, season 1 and 2. it was really deep you know, it made me wonder about people from the standpoint of one human being always wanting to...i dunno have conflict with someone else. it just shows you like, 40 different ways you can hurt someones feelings and end up in hell. i watched it before i started high school, whch has kept me wanting to stay on everyones good side! i recommend it Mr. Choo! and no its not really scary but is kinda slow paced. you never know how each episode will end
Ahhh! it's Enma Ai! I missed out on her first figurine, got to get this one. Anyways, the anime is pretty decent but a bit slow at times. For the first season really they could have cut out the middle part of the series. At least in Season 2 you have a lot more character development. *goes back to fawning over Enma Ai*

The story for first season was quite slow. The second season only slightly better. The only reason i continued watching was because the VA was Mamiko Noto.
Just finished downloading Jigoku Shoujo, season 1 and 21 episodes of season 2 ^^ Now onto anime frenzy mode!!.. Nah, I'd rather wait till I finish all the torrents.. ^^
Watched the first season...most of the characters that use Jigoku Shoujo pissed me off and needed to take a chill pill. I was expecting a grudge that needed vengeance so badly that you would send yourself to hell (just to send the other person to hell) would be more interesting and less petty in this series. BUT I did enjoy this series because I'm really fascinated by Enma Ai and her companions, I like these characters a lot. I like this figure a lot but I hope Alter also does a figure of her in her kimono.
