Thanks Dragun. I was wondering about a new FF series to be released. I gotta get me a PS3. I haven't played any of the FF's after X-2 :(. I know, not very good for a fan yeah? Anyhow the trailers are epic, they totally show that FF is still one of the best, if not THE best, RPG's ever. I am on the buy list, thank you very much.
Not a problem, but you should also thank Danny for posting it. Dont feel too bad, after X-2 I got burnt out on the FF series too.. I bought FFXI, and played it for a month or two.. but then got bored. I guess Im not into MMORPG's (sp?). This one looks promising though.. maybe time to buy bother Wii and the PS3.

Which impresses me the most with the Final Fantasy series is, how they always improve the design, music and all. I mean 10 was already nice and stuff... and then bang next one and another one, when they made me think "there can't be a more cool design". I wish i could be so creative. ^o^;; I only bought a PS2 for the FF games on it... hum... now i ponder to get a PS3 just for FF 13... damnit. ;_;

Oh, they do come out on PC for NTSC (N. America) release after significant time on the console. Not sure about PAL (Europe) release where you are.
Oops, what am I saying? Those region lockouts are just for console. PC versions should work anywhere. Just try and find them.
Fatbastard - PS3 games no longer have region-locking! Sony finally did something right... I am so waiting for this game. I am going to buy a japanese PS3, but primarily because a) it costs have the australian price and b) Blueray movies are still region-locked and I want a way to play japanese movies.

the eye candy graphics are extraordinary and exceptionally impressive as expected from Square-Enix but it's just all eye candy and i don't see the gameplay FFXIII might be one of the few messiahs that could bring PS3 from financial trouble but do you think Square-Enix is squeezing too much on their cash cow franchise?

OH MY GOD!!! *wets self* Well after a change of pants, i can clearly see that the fusion of KH and FF is almost definitely a sure win for people who like the series! I just really hope SE would change their mind and/or contract and have it over on the Xbox360 too, im wayyy too broke to afford a PS3 anytime soon.

Am I the only one who is disappointed with Final Fantasy's progression..? >_< I mean, in my opinion, FFXII < FF X < FF IX < FF VIII < FF VII...
What can i say is... this is the period of changing for SE where the previous have to retire and let the new generation comes out new Sure it would feel a bit weird because it is totally a new concept Most people get too used to the previous concepts Like most of people dont like FFX-2,especially the music. But sometimes changing is good, at least trying to change to become better. to me i would say FF8>FFX-2>FFX>FF9&FF7>FFT&FF5>other FFs

you're not the only one... call me a retro junkie or an old skul fan but i still prefer FF titles from FF-FFVII. i don't like FF titles from FFVIII-FFXII with the exception of FFIX since it celebrates the old skul FF ^__^ everything went downhill when the FF pioneers left Squure and Square merged with Enix
FF VII > FF XII (I L O V E A S H E) > FF X or IX > VII (its soooo easy to train up to lvl 99) and havent played the rest.

Was into the Final Fantasy series for a long time. My favorites are Tactics, the sixth, the fifth, the seventh, the fourth and the first (in order). I could never like the eighth (worst in my opinion), as well as the second, due to their weird battle and highly unusual item management systems. The ninth was cool (return to old-style battle system), but it wasn't up tomy expectations. I may repeat myself, but the only recent FF I would ever get is FFT: War of the Lions. I don't think I'm appealed in the newest entries... I just have the heat of a nostalgic. ^^;
I agree with you too, after 9, it lost a lot of appeal for me. I think 10 was among the worst I have ever played in a FF game(really, FF the board game because of lack of world map pretty much). 12 fixed some issues that 10 had, but at the same time the story was ZZZZ and none of the characters too appealing or captivating. I hope 13 is good. I will be getting a PS3 or an 360 for this.
I`m a big fan of Final Fantasy series(and RPGS, in general), it looks great, at least at first sight, but I don`t sure that thing like sistem combat can be soo smoothly. All I can do is pray, and wait just a little longer...

Yay a new FFXIII trailer. Can't wait for this to come out (though I haven't beaten 12 yet), gonna be another amazing experience from Square Enix. I've been a follower of Square for a long time and they amaze me with each new release of Final Fantasy, I just hope they're doing the right modifications to the White Engine.

Nice , nice. Even though I saw those two trailers about a year ago, it's still really sweet. Except that they changed some of the 2nd trailer. Really love the graphics, too bad the actual game play is not as good of graphics as the trailers, ne.

By the way, I never thought SquareEnix would launch a FF XIII... I was laughing a bit when they went for X-2, because I thought they would stop there or directly jump to a XIV. Still they had already gone for a XIII, for a character (Red XIII), so maybe was I wrong anyway. They just couldn't avoid the dreaded thirteen. ^^;
Waaah...that was awesome! Finally a female lead that can actually kick arse! XD and they finally introduced that guy they only showed in the magazine for like over a year now. This is the only reason why I bought a PS3. ^^ I'm liking how the progress is going with the FF titles. FFXII was the third best in the entire lineup ^^ FFVIII and FFVI taking the top two spots in my list. Let's see where XIII will be when it's released. Now if only we can get a release date. RELEASE DATE PLEASE! I'm dying from all this anxiety. Even MGS doesn't get me this hyped up.
OMG!!!! Those videos were amazing! I got chills while watching. Well that settles it. I WILL be getting my own PS3 after Christmas! Currently I can't get near our PS3 cause my boyfriend is ALWAYS playing first person shooters online...or playing Assassin's Creed or Drake's Fortune or Bladestorm -_-; We already had to buy me my own tv so I could at least play our old PS2 games as well as Wii games. But I still need my own PS3...my Oblivion questing has been severely hindered...haven't even touched Shivering Isles yet. And with FF XIII on the way...that's a good chunk of my life committed to questing. He already has been given his deadline to get me a PS3...I must have it in time for Soul Calibur IV!!! >.< / So I can once again bring the pain as only Xianghua can! >_> We better get a whole heap of Best Buy gift cards for Christmas this year ^_^;;;

Ah, I couldn't read all the comments, they are too many. I think Final Fantasy died with the last masterpiece , FFX, and when the series' creator (Hironobu Sakaguchi) left the company (After FFXI and FFX-2, but FFXI is a MMORPG, and FFX-2 the development team was 1/3 of what was in FFX) It's now Tetsuya Nomura's world . He is talented, but he isn't Sakaguchi San, with the vision and romance to build a fantasy that will stand the test of time. Well, here goes my 2 cents and, time will tell. Final Fantasy is changing dramatically , and it certainly looks very impressive. But is it really good? P.S.: Danny thanks for posting the HD videos.
