After 30 years, Yatterman gets a remake and the new series will start to air in Jan. Photos of the PR event here and OP from the original series below. Anybody familiar with this series?

Not familar with Yatterman, but I found a copy of a Time-Bokan dub I used to watch on VHS when I was a kid. I think Yatterman was either a spin-off, or Time-Bokan was the spin-off. Not sure which...Either way, I'm sort of looking forward to seeing this new version.
It was one of my first anime ever(or I didn't even know it was "anime" back then), it was airing i Polish television 10 years ago, or something like that, when I was in elementary school :) It was quite popular, and many in age similiar to mine schould remember this. Oh my gosh, that looks like it goes back a ways. The design seems very Hanna-Barbera.
The 'remake' design does too for that matter. Definitely styled in the same western style as the stuff the cartoon network produces.

Man! I use to watch this when I was a kid. This really shows that the Japanese anime is running out of idea. Even Yattaman needs a remake. However, it will be on my watch list
