This non scale figure of Dante will be out end of this month and retail for 8,190 yen by Kotobukiya. Have always loved the game series (DMC2 on the PS had crappy graphics though) but didn't like the anime much. Also wondered how many of you buy male figures. I used to buy a ton of StarWars figures which (included male figures) but have turned my attention to Gundams and female figurines instead. If I do get a male figure next then it will probably be Briareos.
I buy huge amounts of male figures ;D. Also Gundams included of course and I own only a small amount of female figures. ^^; But that's a really nice Dante figure. Will probably get him later if I can.
I think you linked the wrong article Danny, Taiga Aisaka doesn't seem to have a lot in common with Briareos but nevermind :D (sorry for playing the smart ass ^^") Have you seen the latest Appleseed movie?

I dont think Briareos counts as a normal "male' figure. Since he looks mostly robotic. But, between the two of us Danny, you are more of an authority on figures than I. I dont have either male or female.. so I think its time to start soon. This will not be one I start with, although its nice.

My male figures involves armored dudes lol. Check out Garo prop and equip series. I also have the FFXII Judge for my birthday too. What's cool about these figures that if some passerby looks at them you tend to get the wow cool feed back more lol. Since all the metallic detail and all that are well sculpted, they are fine works of art indeed. Of course female figures are still top.

They do not unfortunatly, but they do have a Virgil statue.
I have mostly female figures, I do have a Sepiroth trading figure though. I wouldn't mind adding a Dante, just finished DMC 3 during my spare time a few weeks ago. The one male figure I really want to get is Cloud on his fenrir bike, but it's really expensive, 150+ USD.
I actually buy quite a few male figures, well, considering how few get released in the first place. at the moment the ratio of male to female is 6:11 Not including trading figs, gashapons, and the Guyver Unit 1, since he's not very human looking.

I have some male figures, namely Van from Gun X Sword and Lamento figures. Would have gotten this Dante too but the face is wrong so I just skip him.

After read your post, I take a look at my figures, and I can tell you that for 30 figures, only one is a male... Is certain, there are few males figures, many of guys are form games, like Final Fantasy(eveybody have a Sefirot, right? :]),I think more figures for anime guys can`t be bad...
By the way, this Dante is more that great, I also see a similar statue for Virgil, and want both!!
Was tempted when I first saw this one, but then realised that the face and the hair looks a l'il odd for me... Kinda err, wasted...? 'Cause the weapons, outfits, body, pose and even the base look pretty awesome... Maybe it's just me?
oh my.. I wanted buy Dante badly, but kinda hard to get in my place. plus it's very expensive T^T
