Ryofuko-chan

(Figures(29)

Have not heard much about Ryofuko-chan but the nendoroid is quite cute - the full version over at Danny's Corner.

This particular nendoroid is a tough nut to get. You need to buy all four Ryofuko-chan DVD's and then send in the vouchers that come with each DVD together with a 3,000 yen Japanese postal order. Furthermore, only the first batch of DVDs have this offer.

These are known as OEM products where Good Smile would make a product for another company. You will notice that OEM products by Good Smile have not been featured on their official site up until now but I will work on getting them up there.

Have you collected stuff/coupons to get other exclusive figures or goodies?
When I was a wee lad, I used to collect Star Wars figures - the card that they came on had a voucher - cut them out and send in about 10 to get an exclusive figure.

So the total cost of this nendoroid comes to 23000 ($218 USD) yen, thats after paying the shipping fee, and buying those DVDs. Someone catch me because I'm about to pass out from reading that. This is a nendoroid for people who own cash trees in their yards. xD.

Oh no, please tell me the Kodomo no Jikan Kuro isn't one of these. ;________;

Well, I use to collect the cereal UPCs and traded them in for various prizes. The stuff was all pretty useless but fun to have.

Which makes it plain impossible to get one.
I mean, I'm having the worst time trying to get the most popular nendoroid here... only because local importers won't get Hatsune Miku because she isn't a proper anime figure.

But I'm happy I was able to get my Kona-saber...

Well, I'm not sure if I would attempt to get such a figure like this. Only if it was from a show I really liked and planned on buying the DVDs anyway.

D: It's nice that these tpyes of purchases exist, it works for some people but, in the end.. it's harder on those who can't get hold of the items in their country.
Not to forget the price

Nice Nendo, but the show is not that good to warrant a "buy-all-DVDs". Though I chuckled at the tiny scene of Mesousa getting swept by the waves. That said, does anyone here has a Nendoroid Mesousa for sale?

I really liked the Ryofuko-chan animes; they are really funny. I'd love to have the figure too, but it ain't gonna happen, not for that kind of money. Sheesh, gimme a break...

Isn't there some sort of deadline involved though? I mean you can't just purchase the dvds now and send in the slips, assuming you got any, and expect a nendoroid back, can you? This particular nendoroid started shipping back in August. I purchased mine on an auction site a month ago or so. Currently these are fetching $400-650 on auction sites like yahoo Japan.

Genius. What a way to take full advantage of those weak against limited edition rarities.

This nendoroid has sparked my greatest interest due to cuteness and absolute rarity. Damn, Kagami was right...I'm a weak person..
