Now here is the REAL series I've been waiting for this season. After having seen the first episode, I'm still feeling shivers of pure awesomeness. No other first episode / series this season has given the vibes of epic so far (last season was Code Geass R2). You can have your harem animes, and I'll take my Gundam! So much action, and secrets revealed, it's crazy. (If you don't want to spoil yourself, stop reading now) - Metal Gear Solid Styles Setsuna! - Setsuna saving Saji's pansy ass. Then Saji getting the nerve to go all emo on Setsuna - Louise a Gundam Pilot o_0;; And she has to pop pills! Poor girl - Setsuna is .... I can't describe it. He's just badass. Most badass Gundam protaginast yet. Cool, collected, and now ... and the best thing is he has no qualms about wiping out people's lives if it's for the greater good. None of this "I don't want to kill" bullcrap (e.g. Kira) - Even Exia looks badass. Setsuna knows his stuff. Put anything in a Cloak, give it a terminator eye and ... watch the fanboys roll in - Seravee was pretty cool, but I wonder what the face on its back is really supposed to do other than look cool Anyone else blown away by the first episode?

I agree. I believe that her hand is a prosthetic that is connected to Ribbons. We already know he could access Veda. The pills probably calms her down because it seems to cause extreme stress on her mentally and physically. I'm so in love with this series already, just as I was the first season. <3333

I would spend ANY amount of money on a Gunpla of that damaged Exia if it ever were made! haha But yeah, Gundam is the only thing I wanted to see this season (but I also like toradora now too lol). I was disappointed they didn't put an opening in for the first ep, since the openings of season 1 were probably two of the best I've ever seen. CAN"T WAIT FOR NEXT SUNDAY!!!

Somewhere in the middle they had some sort of op/ed. Very nice song, hearing the whole thing through. Gundam 00 is looking as badass as setsuna as well. I can't wait to see him do all sorts of butt smashing with it next episode!

hmm... Louise is actually more of a mobile suit pilot isn't she? She also seems to have gone through some changes besides joining A-Law. I have to admit, partially damaged Exia with the cloak was pretty badass. The red eye, however, was just a ripoff of terminator... Seravee... can't say I like it. The first season of Gundam 00 worked on using elements from previous Gundam series yet refined them with a special element, the GN drive and all. As a result, unique Gundam frames were born. I wasn't too keen on the designs at first but soon came to like the Exia, Dynames and Kyrios to a certain extent. Now though, the new Gundam designs seem to have gone back... its quite sad if you ask me. From complex shapes and curves to polygon pieces stuck together. Not my style. The Seravee design seems to follow what Virtue was all about. Big armour and even bigger guns. From what I noticed, as with the other three gundam designs, the GN drive is no longer exposed. How it circulates and vents the GN particles is beyond me. The face on the back of the Seravee may be for various purposes. Given Tieria nature and our limited knowledge on him, it may be a special feature of Seravee that only Tieria may access and use to its fullest potential. Perhaps his senses can be synced to the mobile suit systems and sensors to enhance his perception of the surroundings and battlefield. From what I noticed, the GN field seemed to grow stronger once the "face" opened up. Perhaps it was a lock or restriction device that limits the amount of GN particles flowing out. Just a theory...

As designs go, I think most Gundams look pretty similar. Each time a new design comes out, while yes its different its basically the same features if that makes any sense. Now look at the ZEONs those are some fresh designs. Thats where all the brilliant mecha design comes in.

If you need to skip, skip till the last 10 episodes of series 1. Series 1 got mega good toward the end (as opposed to the slow start). However, it's probably best not to skip at all jsut so all your questions are answered.

There were quite a lot of changes. It's interesting to see how technology in the 00 universe changed so much in only 4 years. Those machines killing everyone was awesome, but I just didn't find it fitting for this series (or at least this point in the 00 timeline). The music at the end (for the preview) just didn't seem right, but then again it will take some getting used to. Overall it was ok, I'm not going to say it was "Sup3r Epic win!!11!1!1!!!1" just because I liked 00 S1. In the end, I'm still looking forward to the next episode.

I was blown away as well. My awkward feeling from ending of Code Geass R2 was totally wiped away by watching Gundam 00 R2. I hope they can keep the ep. 1's tension and it will be one of the greatest Gundam series yet :)

Mizushima learnt his lesson. People complained about the pace of S1. He fixed it now. People complained about the lack of action in S1. He fixed it by packing the first episode of S2 with punches. 2 words: epic win. If this keeps up, 00 might just be the best non-UC series thus far, possibly even topping G, W and Seed.
