COLORSUCKER, sorry to hear that, but we never associated mosquitoes with death, infectious diseases, West Nile virus, malaria or infectious diseases. Never in that post was any relevance to serious stuff until you commented. I never thought something dramatic would have gone into the mind of any of us, and we only joked about the Dreamcast spiral and the resemblance to those mosquito repellents. You truly shouldn't take things so literally and with a stern face. We know when to joke and when to shut up. Sorry again if complex associations brought you painful memories.

if it would actually come and it would be as cool as the first dreamcast ill surely get it. its so sad that the first dreamcast died... it was a great console (well, not the sonic games but all the other games were great^^) there was even a love hina game for the first DC
it's not going to happen any time soon if at all if you ask me. A shame, but probably more truth than in these rumors.
I still have my Dreamcast and play Soul Calibur occasionally. It was a great system. DC2 would be nice, but I don't think there's room for Sega in the console market right now. Anyway, these are all just rumors.
i doubt that Sega will return to the console business when they are doing good as a 3rd party software game developer. i have a theory that maybe Sega renewed their Dreamcast trademark because they might bring it to a downloadable service like Nintendo's Virtual Console service
I was wondering that too. SEGA always had good consoles that never were fully exploited and always had major troubles with their rivals. Master System vs. NES/Famicom, Genesis vs. Super Nes/Super Nintendo/Super Famicom, Game Gear vs. Game Boy, Saturn vs. Playstation (and at a lower degree Nintendo 64) ad finally Saturn vs. PS2... SEGA never really won each of its battles, because adversaries always waited and created a console of the same generation, albeit technically superior. I was thinking that maybe being a successful 3rd developer might have made SEGA wish to make another console, but the chances of that happening would be extremely slim, given the reasons above.

I loved the Dreamcast. I don't know why everyone else hated it. They had great games.
I enjoyed playing Toy Commander on a friends Dreamcast but I don't know about the other games. I don't think a Dreamcast 2 would have much success, at least in germany
