Do you think I'm obsessed with Saber? I even changed my avatar into Saber... So after 14 hours within a 3 day span, excluding drying time and planning time; I finally finished this Gundam. It's my first time painting and making a custom kit. I only used Gundam Markers to colour the parts since I don't really know any other way. Seems to be the easiest way to colour Gundam kits. I was originally inspired by this picture. I used it for reference for colours and researching parts. Can you guess which kits I used? The answers is here. No peeking if you want to guess ^^ More pictures on my blog. Progress Report: Day 0 Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 What do you think? Any suggestions to make this better? Passing grade or epic fail? I'm thinking of making a 1/100 scale if money/time allows...

wow thats what you call a full amoured gundam ! awesome work there..but maybe you should consider breaking off ine side of the 'v' fin (would look more like that one strand of hair of hers) XD

That's from an art/poster book I got. It's a collection of posters from Megami magazines gathered in one book. It even has a Saber carboard standee in it! The pages can be removed from the spine if you want to use it as poster ^^

Tehehe tricked you guys... it's similar to Strike's shield, but it's actually BluDuel Gundam's shield & legs. There're extra armor pieces on BluDuel's legs that made me use it for Saber's armored legs :)

^^; well I kinda didn't know where to put the yellow on the shoulders. So I just put some yellow where there are boosters on the shoulders. I'll add some more yellow on it later

This is friggin amazing. For suggestion...maybe take some hair from Nadleeh and add it on? just a thought ^^ I love Saber As for the painting, it's great. I never knew Gundam markers work that well.

Thanks! I had thought about using Nadleeh's hair for her ribbons, but I wanted to stick to the main 3 kits I bought. It was quite pricey already as it is 0.o Yeah I'm surprised how much paint there was in the marker! I thought I was gonna run out midway, but nope, not even after I made so many colour scheme mistakes.

Thank you all for the comments. I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out since this is my first kit bashing and painting. Some parts didn't fit properly, and I had to do last minute changes, but it was all fun and worth it to hear your reactions. ^_^ Here's my complete list of what I used: BluDuel Gundam: Legs, head, and shield (the frontal skirt as you see there) Blaze Zaku Phantom: Shields and chest Zeta Gundam: Shoulders, arms, hands, and waist Strike Dagger: Just used the shield for the rear skirt, which didn't work out so well -.- Good thing it was only a cheap FG kit And for the final touch I used Revoltech Saber Alter's Excalibur for the sword (because I couldn't find my normal Revoltech Saber...)

Hmm yeah... the concept of destroying kits was a bit too much for me since one of them is BluDuel Gundam... Poor BluDuel... And uh I kinda destroyed my MG Zeta already... it didn't turn out so well. So I would use that if I ever make a 1/100. No offense to Zeta fans, but I don't like the Zeta as much as I'd hope. I do have a few Saber figures, but not as much as Rei Ayanami XD
