which reminds me danny, my parents were telling me something about a japanese test foreigners have to take to be able to work in japan, it has like A, B, C rankings.
You wouldn't happen to know the details on this would you?

Here, you can check some info here, though i thought the test had a different name http://www.jasso.go.jp/eju/syllabus_01_e.html

maybe im wrong, and this is the one JASSO aplies, still it may give you a general reference about it.

BTW, Danny, how hard is it for a gaijin to get a job there, even a supermarket one, just to live a little house with tons of figures, futon, paasocon and internet. (I think it would be a good idea to make a post about internet, or house bills, how are they paid, how much you can expect to spend in a typical month) Im planning to go to japan, try some luck in finding job (´・ω・`) Any pointers about that would be a great help on a lot of us i guess

Yo Danny;

Count me in the same as well. I'd love to learn a little more about how hard it is to get into Japan. My research so far has suggested that Japan strongly discourages Gaijin from the United States from moving there. Am I correct?

Yes, you should never go to Japan. Just give me the plan ticket and I will happily put up with the verbal abuse and baises. I will give a full sentence report upon returning, so your ego will remain unscathed.
Also, Gordon, since you called her first you get first dibs. So I call shotgun.

You would have to have super powers. I thought this was obvious to everyone. These can include but are not limited to:
1. Being able to talk for an hour and a half about an anime series without taking a second breath, or letting the person you are talking to intergect.
2. Walk around is cosplay, while reciting lines from the series verbatim.
3. The complete inability to understand when someone is being facetious in their interest of your dissertation on Narutos headbands.
4. Shouting words from the show out randomly as if you have tourettes.
5. Not being able to get laid for years (yes, its a power).
6. Deciding whether to buy food/rent or the newest figure/gundam/anime/doujin/dakimura out there.

While I definetely don't consider myself a super fan, I surely fall into the category of normal fan. Though I don't have any figurines...yet...i'm considering maybe a few. That whole lack of money for anyone else but necessary thing still poses problems.

I too would be interested in seeing how much Japanese spend per month. Not because I'm going to live, but just out sheer curiosity and interest in the culture. I think they call that a japanophile

I would consider myself a super fan with normal knowledge ;p
But it will probably be beginner if they go into details or about older animes that I don't know of. And my gundam knowledge is pretty small... ^^;
