Finally i have reached Singapore! YATTA! (^_^)/

Remember me in my post before here: ( http://www.dannychoo.com/detail/mac/eng/image/7130/.html#comment287200 ) ? :D

Thx to all fellow Singaporeans

After I come here, i haven't got any time to go to the figure stores as I am still busy with school works >_<

 I still have some more questions to ask of you guys ^^;

1. is downloading manga scans and doujinshi allowed in Singapore?

2. what's a good site for online streaming for animes? and if the website provide download services, i am still not allowed to download them, rite? :D

3. Does making the Privilege Card of Kinokuniya worth the cost? I'm thinking of making the 3 yr subscriptions ^^;

Sorry if i asked too much questions , and thx in advance (once again! :D)

p.s: Sorry but i am quite busy these times, have to do med check ups, apply for student pass as i am going to STUDY here, and new terms coming on Oct..

Can't be in any gatherings / meeting up in these 2 months.. >_<

p.s: Haven't got any clue of the photos here, so i'll just stick with the current hype ^^;

Nice to meet you. Wanna meet up someplace so I can show you around? There are some great events coming up, too bad you missed the first few that happened most recently.

Contact details in my profile.

Answering your questions.
1. Yes, it is allowed. I have not heard anyone getting caught for that.
2. Crunchyroll is good for streaming animes. Downloading is illegally in any country. Depends on your luck if you get caught.
3. Yes, it is worth it if you get goods from Kinokuniya regularly. 10% off and 20% when there's some special event like anniversary, summer sale yada yada.

Responses all "in my opinion" so cross reference with other people's.

Thx for the answers :D

For pt no . 2, There are some animes in which Crunchyroll are not streaming anymore (such as Strike Witches 12), and they tell us to download.. T_T

Downloading in Indonesia won't get u into any trouble though ^^;

@Realta: How long will you be there? Study aboard in S'pore or there for convention?
Depends on what kind of download, better stay off from media products (copyrights stuffs), MUST avoid torrent or P2P, use only direct download (but limit your download rate). Otherwise XEDO (spell backward) will come asking you for moeny or jail you @_@

If you want to download make sure you get the torrents off of a SSL Secure website. Or you can direct download off of IRC, thats the safest bet.

imo the kinokuniya is a good deal, I've been a member since they started it and had always 'earned' the cost of the membership back thru discounts.
btw once you settle down here do join us for our outings ^^

1. Yes & No. Its illegal due to some Intellectual property act of some sort. But no one is catching YET.
2. Downloading is illegal. Streaming is considered illegal in a certain aspect also since the data is indeed being dl/stream to your pc which is temporary stored.

Technically saying, yes.
Because streaming still requires the data to be downloaded to your pc.
But so far, its still a gray zone.

Truth be told, despite the convenience, I hardly ever buy my figures and anime merch from KKnM. I'm still boycotting it after a rather bitter incident. I'd rather not disclose. I've just grown to dislike the people there.
