This is my current loot from Taiwan (most likely final since I'm returning to the states in about 4 days). I posted a topic about my first nendoroid a few days ago ^-^. Bought Kemeko and MM for $80 usd (^w^). I had a tough time choosing between Hatsune Miku Figma ($25 usd) and the Kemeko and MM bundle ^^;;;;; Everything went well today except for the fact when my mom (I'm currently 18, incoming freshmen for college and have no money) bought the Nendoroid and Figure and said "I must be crazy to buy you this!" Made me sad when I heard that, because that means that she looks down on my PVC figure hobby. I'm guessing the reason she said that is that she never bought me a figure before since she only got me a nendoroid before. Sorry for the long post ^^;;;;; typing it out makes me feel a bit better Tell me what you think of my loot and/or how my mom reacted

I'm not a huge Nendroid fan, the only ones that I have are the bootleg bunny Haruhi Nendroids and a bootleg Haruhi Nendroid. I would want to get that MM figure. I hear that there will be an anime coming. I don't usually buy figures of Manga as I only read the manga if I like the anime.

Becareful when buying goods from other countries then Japan... There are boot legged figures...Iève seen a lot here in Canada... Still, if itès real, thatès a really nice get!!!!!! Asking parents for money to buy figures, I get the same reaction from my parents too... My mom doesn't care about my figure collection as long as I can fit it in my room...

I feel your pain... my parents (also 18 here btw and going to Uni) don't exactly approve, but since its my money that I've earned they can't exactly stop me. And I'm aware of the fact I spending OODLES of cash on plastic, but I dont care. Reading DC made me not care lol. Good for me, bad for my purse.

Nice haul. My mom is generally pretty open and understanding about collecting figures (I have about a dozen) so long as they're not cast offs. I do understand tho how it can be pretty awkward for parents to accept their kids liking anime. My brother and I visited Taiwan as well this past June with our dad and we went shopping at the underground mall at Taipei station. My brother secretly bought a Yoko artbook and megami mag while wandering around and my dad found out a few days later. He wanted to know what was so great about these books to justify spending 50 USD on them and was like "WTF!! I'd understand if you bought a playboy mag but this 2D crap is sick!" I thought it was pretty hilarious and diffused the situation by saying that at least he likes women (no offense to gay ppl out there) and so our dad just laughed it up and told my brother to buy real porn the next time. Needless to say, this was a guy thing, so we never told our mom lol.
