So, Chrome beta has being released for a few days now. How many of you have downloaded it and tested it? How do you find it?

Well, for me, ever since I got Chrome, I have being using it. No complaints of bugs so far.

So, what are your experiences with Chrome? Can it win Firefox and Safari for Windows? Mac and Linux users have to wait patiently. :(

I downloaded it, I'm absolutely loving it, but I am still not using it as my main browser. It addresses many of the problems that Firefox currently has, but it doesn't have the functionality of Firefox - yet. Firefox has functionality because of its addons, until Chrome gets those addons, it will be "just another browser", even if it happens to be a very good browser.

havent had problems with chrome beta EXCEPT for when I visit facebook, I cant use some of the functions like browsing through friends. Other than that, chrome is a pretty smooth end browser.

Chrome is now my primary browser. I miss addons in Firefox 3 like Ubiquity and Monkey scripts for Flickr comments etc, but I will sacrifice the niceties for the clean bare bones of Chrome. Plus that stuff will probably come to Chrome at some point;)

Right now it's a three way battle for me. Opera for RSS and random searches, Firefox for Nicovideo and forums, and now Chrome for random surfing. Using all 3 about the same.

lol I'm alternating between chrome and firefox as well. Mostly just using chrome for general browsing and I'm quite surprised at all the ads I've been missing out on while using firefox. Firefox is for sites with lots of ads~

i'm a big fan of minimalist things, and chrome is definately that. still a bit buggy and does some things differently, but its still beta. i now go back and forth between firefox and chrome. will probably switch to chrome once they release a finished live version.

I got the Personal Menu extension. I got rid of the Menu and Bookmark toolbars. Added buttons to replace them. Basically has the same minimalist look...

I've been trying it out, Chrome has some nice built-in feature which you can also get for FF3 with extensions. So far I prefer Firefox simply because of AdBlocker Plus and Greasemonkey. I can't see google blocking ads since their entire revenue depends on it.

We just have to wait and see when Firefox releases its new TraceMonkey and how much of an improvement it is to the current SpiderMonkey javascript engine. Chrome's Webkit engine will be hard to surpass, plus the seperate process for each tab is just amazing.

Firefox finally has a true challenger. This will be interesting ^^.

Ah, I'm on a Mac, so I can't try it yet. Still, I'm guessing it may be a while before people pick it up, for one big reason: Adobe probably hasn't made a Flash player for it yet. That's the only thing that keeps me from using Safari instead of IE on my mom's Windows: no Flash. And TONS of websites run on Flash. H*R and Youtube, to name a couple.

I had it crashed on me once due to memory error
but bottomline is I'm pretty pleased with it.
If only it has ad blocking and java, then it will be perfect

I;m currently using it @ the office and I'm quite impressed... and let's not forget that it's still in BETA so issues are to be expected... but I'm quite assured that since it's Google, Chrome will turn out even better... (especially with the memory handling stuff)

I have calculated the RAM usage issue for Chrome. For multi-tab browsing, it's around 85mb for 3 tabs. There were a total of 5 processes showing up in my Task Manager.

Downloaded it the first day and till now i have to say i enjoy it. My pc is quite old and i find it to work faster then firefox, also enjoying the design. Although it has crashed for me once but firefox also crashes so not a big disadvantage here. Keeping chrome as my main browser now.

I find Chrome having everything the default firefox has. Its tabs appearing on the top of the window is pretty nice and it feels very clean and open. I've never seen a web page take all the full screen. Unfortunately due to lack of addons and such firefox is still the victor. But Chrome is my secondary browser for browsing websites comfortably. Happy with both.

I like Chrome. It's about as fast as Safari but without the font blurring. It still has a few issues like it's sometimes difficult to save large images (25+ MB) on moe.imouto.org and it should inform the user before installing GoogleUpdate.exe but besides that it looks promising.

BTW: A bookmark-export option would be nice too. ;)

You can do like me and place a dummy .exe in place of GoogleUpdate.exe, though i'm not sure if that breaks anything.

Chrome is nice, but it loads some of my important sites (Nico Nico Douga, for example) VERY slowly... but it loads normal webpages (without JavaScript or Flash) VERY quickly... so it depends on what I want to browse on, sometimes I use both of them. on Chrome, when you open so many tabs, it's so hard to see which one's which (try opening so many tabs on it and you'll know what I mean). and Chrome doesn't have Live Bookmarks (for RSS feeds...) and third-party add-ons, which makes me switch back to Firefox =x

Apart from missing a few addons from ff and ability to intergrate with any download manager, I like its UI philosophy and its speed. Nearly using it as my main browser now.

There's a few things you need to take note of with this beta version though: don't ever try to type :% into the address bar and you better use incognito mode for any page you don't want Chrome to keep any info you typed in (e.g. bank account info) as it indexes everything into its history.
