Confession time - I used to be like this when I first started out liking Kylie Minogue. I had badges of her all over me - went out in public as normal. Will try to get the scans of the photos when I'm back in the UK next. Anybody here done something similar? Via Neta.
Nope ive never been that crazy about an actor/singer/band. Ive seen your old room once and i must say you were a pretty hardcore Kylie fan back then. Are you still one?
Yeah nothing like that for me, this seems almost obsessive.
Hehe, George Trombley of www.Yesjapan.com is a big fan of the circa 2001~ roster of Morning Musume, remember seeing tons of posters and figurines of the girls back when I was studying Japanese hardcore back in 2002/2003. I would (almost) consider doing something similar to this guy if I was at an anime con/Akihabara, would probably use badges/stuff of many different anime tho.
i used to ADORE Orlando Bloom, and my notebook for high school was covered in pictures of him, i wore Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings T-shirts all the time. My walls were covered in Orlando Bloom Pictures and i had a cardboard cutout of him as well. Still have him, he's now in hiding under my bed... but after i actually got a real live boyfriend and i saw the movie Troy, i decided i was too old to be obsessed with a movie star. I then went on to collect figures and anime merchandise. My friends still debate on which is worse, Orlando Bloom or Anime... I'm just lucky i got out in time. I was sooo wanting to be 18 so i could get an "I <3 Orlando Bloom" Tattoo. I would have really regretted that.
Wow... I'm glad you weren't 18. XD
oh trust me, me too
For some reason I laughed at the comment "a real live boyfriend". :X
lol, i said that since i actually called Orlando Bloom my "boyfriend" man i was so young and stupid...
I've never gone that far, my obsessions stay in my head.
In my head, or on my computer desktop...^_^
LOL, forgot to mention desktop.
Me too! ^^"
Hmm... the closest I got to complete fandomness was on Rock bands... I once had lots of metal band posters on my bedroom walls. Tons of Ozzy stuff too. But I had a complete change of mind after getting older. Though I still have lots of things I like very much (anime and figures?), I tend to get away from fandomness and it's sympthoms. With the Internet, forums, blogs and chats I realized that sometimes, being a fan makes some people completely blind, ignorant and even dangerous. It's a lot like religion. Some people will deal with it in a positive way, some people don't.
I wear almost every day a band shirt, but I don't think it's even near this hardcore. :D
I guess I fall as a fan... I don't paste badges all over my body like Danny did...
Definitely not me... o_O
I have an SOS-dan patch sewn on my laptop bag but it's about it.
yea most I ever had were anime wallscrolls and posters on my walls back in middle/high school, and even first year of college, but I grew out of that phase. Now, all my posters are lonely in a box outside by the stairwell... And just like DancingQueen now, instead if i have figures around my room -_- lol
I was obsessed with Hilary Duff in the past when I was 16-17 or so. Not any more but I still like Miss Duff.
I can't remember if I became so obsessed with an idol/actress before, I guess not. My heart only belongs to anime, LOL!
Nope nothing like that... Just as wallpapers and avatars.
I'd never put anything that let everyone and their mothers know that I'm a fan. My obsession is defined by throwing all of my quarterly bonus on figures.
oh wow... it seems he has a little more room rite on his belly for one more... :D
the most i did was to put a desktop background of the idol i used to admire a lot. but afterwards i just forgot about her.
i was like that with Evangelion. (well maybe not so much) I tried to buy every Kayodo Eva figure i found. Some books all the soundtracks. Even the mini cd single. I got EVA DVD, regular and Special Edition ones. The Movies >not the new ones though. I think that when i saw the end of it . It was almost like a religious experience for me. Did anyone else feel the same ?? or am i the only one??
I think back in the days, i had pictures of idols on my note books in high school,......i think ... now ....they're my wallpaper friends..
The closest I ever got was having a whole bunch of pokemon stuff as a kid. (Toys, shirts, lunchboxes, etc.)
That guy's hardcore. lol
No, never been a hardcore fan of any singer/actor:P
I can't keep that level of interest in one thing long enough to become quite that much of a superfan
I don't like buttons or badges. So no, I wouldn't even walk out in public with one of 'em on. ^^; Besides that, I like dressing in plain colours, so there usually aren't even any patterns or pictures on my clothes.
Yeah, never been such an avid fan of anything -_-
The creepiest thing in that picture is that the man seems to be quite old, maybe 30 or 40.
3D doesn't have the same appeal as 2D for me. My favourite idol is Hatsune Miku!
So you're covered in badges of her? ^^ (Good idea...)
not for me, never be like that !
Aya Matsuura is not there!! NOOOO!! T_T
Before I got into anime, I was a huge Britney Spears fan. Sure, I hated her music, but I had posters of her all over my room. I still have the posters, but now I prefer wallscrolls.
I bet you probably still sang in the shower "Oh baby, one more time" ^^;
Er, no. I did have my favourite band names and art drawn all over my school bags and books, but I'm sure I never looked that extreme. Takes a bit of bravery i think..
Best/worst thing I did was wear a Belldandy pin on my shirt collar in high school for all of one day.
what does that red armband actually signify in general?
Part/Lead of somewhat organizing.
wow his is one big yaguchi mari fan lol
I used to be crazy about my metal bands back when i was younger - i have a slipknot "S" emblazoned on my right arm - i dont regret ever getting it though - its what it meant to me at the time and will always stay with me - literally!its not my only tattoo but yeah i generally have to think about a tattoo for a year or two before i get one - i <3 Orlando Bloom coulda been pretty brutal in later life. I had posters of my fave bands covering my walls - always scared the girls away...i wonder why...it was only slipknot...
Not one obsession, but I did have my closet doors covered with sexy chicks, from all different magazines. Janet Jackson on the cover of Rolling Stone was always a favorite. E^D
Whoa, that's a pretty nice wardrobe he's got there!
ultra AYA HIRANO FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!FOR ME~~~
Yaguchi!!! Well, you can't blame that guy.
That guy has quite a collection
