yea looks interesting, but its yet another zombie movie. :-( They really need to stop recycling old ideas like zombies.

"I Am Legend" is an excellent 1954 work by Richard Matheson. It's been made into films at least twice before, once starring Vincent Price and later with Charleston Heston (Omega Man). My hope is this will be an intelligent treatment of the story and not just an excuse for a special effect laden gore fest.

Will Smith wouldn't act in just some BS zombie flick. While he's not the greatest actor in the world he chooses carefully. With his name on it, I'm convinced this will be a must-watch.
Agreed. It's not like he's vandiesel or whatever his name is. Smith has at least some pride. Hell, I think the low point of his career has been working with Jeff "Mr Jarrasic Park" Goldbloom, but even ID4 was a fun movie. The previews look tasteful, gotta love the fact that he's not a chump like that whimp in 28 Days Later. He just made me sick!
I would actually love to watch it! But it's a scary movie...so N.O T.H.A.N.K. Y.O.U. Too bad though...really wanted to see it...untill it got to the creepy "I AM ZOMBIE AND I AM GOING TO KILL YOU" part. I wonder if the dog's gunna survive.

Seems like the only movie worth watching right now! Well actually.. American Gangster looks pretty good too.
Seems to have good potential, kinda like 28 days later but without any companion. Hopefully it delivers the same adrenaline tho.
The sequel to I, Robot?
Nice! I read a comic book once about this kind of plot. All humans would gather outside the cities, and just become empty shells, after which their minds where slowly being taken over by alien lifeforms, who would resume the daily human productive life. However, they'd be like robots, not speaking or interacting. The lone survivor would see and document all this, and in the end he gets a visit from 2 suits, who've been hunting survivors, telling him that he's the last human, and that they'll let him live. Not really a good comic for a 10yr old boy :P I wonder if the source material for the comic and this movie is the same... I also read Manuel de Pedrolo's Mecanoscrit back then, a must-read for everybody! It's an awesome post-apocalyptic novel.

this is director Francis Lawrence's 2nd movie. his 1st being Constantine in 2005 which is not bad. i enjoyed it.
Legend is his name or it is that Hollywood has finally understood the beauty of Engrish? I hope it turns out to be a good movie (even if I won't watch it).
This is a remake of "Omega Man" that stared Charlton Heston. I still laugh at the fact that he got into a car accident in the middle of a dead NYC. Can't wait for this one. I see the billboards for it everywhere.
