Valho goes outdoors to take pics of his figures. Read more about it at his blog. I've alway wanted to do this but have not mustered the courage to do this in public. Is this something that you can do in your region without getting odd looks?
considering a good 70% of the population here doesn't go outside, yeah i could go do that, not as nice though.
So cute... but if I tried anything like that I'd probably get people trampling on them... or kicking them over purposefully... It's sad but true of England... Our nations going downhill so quickly... :sigh:
same here :/
Yeah I already get enough crap from my friends with my figures on my desk :D the farthest I've taken my figures would be my backyard. I would love to do some kind of photography in the park down the street, its got a nice pond. But.. in my location everyone here pretty much knows eachother.. -_-
According to valho(and the group;they comes in group that day), luckily there were not that many people that day. I cannot go with them coz got exam the following day
I take figure photos outside but I usually go to places where there aren't many people. It's nice to go outside, the natural lighting makes it much easier to take photos. The only problem is bad weather if I take photos outside, I had to wait a couple of weeks before I took pictures of Kanu due to cloudy weather.
Hum I wouldn't do this in public, but as you know I take all of my pictures outside, and am considering now going to the hills behind my house to take some pictures, no one lives or goes there, its a deserted area and with some nice trees and great view over the town
Never tried. I do take some figs out to a restaurant or two
Hmm, I think it's better to go in groups when trying to do outdoor photo shoot (well, u got more courage in that way)
Going outside to take photos of figures isn't all that bad. I do it pretty much for all my figures, and majority of the time, it's by myself. My latest figure photography took me to a VERY public place.
I felt shy about taking pictures of my dolls (the large headed variety) when I go out :P but over time I kinda block em out mentally :) There would be people giving strange looks but my husband noticed it more than I do LOL!
It would be something I'd do with the intent of getting odd looks. The trick is to get the bypassers to go from giving odd looks to being scarred for life. A gift that keeps on giving.
as long as you look like a profesional photographer I don't think people are gonna look at you with those "freakin eyes"
Looks suspiciously like the Singapore Botanical Gardens... If so, then not to worry, us Singaporeans (especially us SG Animebloggers) do it all the time. Go check out Darkmirage, Tsubaki's and tjhan's blog. http://www.darkmirage.com/tag/motorcycle/ http://www.darkmirage.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2006/08/27_tjhan1.jpg tjhan caught in the act.
nope. they are malaysians. the shot is taken at KLCC, the pond near the Petronas Twin Towers. ('~')
They look like they're live sized... Really cool...
i felt otherwise.
here, taking your figure out for a photo shoot is like an invitation to getting mugged or worst, have your figure stolen
I really don't care what people think, if I had figures, and I wanted to take pictures of them, I'd do it. The picture looks a little off though... just me?
I could do it, but I'm too lazy. ...or more accurately; there is better things I could do with my time. Like sit on my butt and program stuff.
They would either, A) Point and laugh. B) Stare at you with odd looks. C) Call the police. D) All of the above. Seems that A and B are the most popular ones...
thanks danny for featuring my post here ^^. The photos were taken at KLCC park near the fountain area. Most of those pics were taken without looking through the viewfinder hence the focus may be off. Hopefully will be able to do this again soon ^^
the last time someone staged a outdoor figure photoshoot in singapore, the police and four anti-riot vans came knocking. http://uk.reuters.com/article/oddlyEnoughNews/idUKSIN474220070907
EXCELLENT PHOTO! and extra propers for doing it at a park.
