Gentlemen...BEHOLD!!! Madhouse has made a press release that they would be producing an Iron Man anime under the supervision Marvel and according to Madhouse President and CEO Jungo Murata that Marvel is giving them the free-hand on re-imagining on how Iron Man would look like. On the right is Marvel's Iron Man while on the left is Madhouse's Iron Man.
MUST SEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! IRON MAN/TONY STARK IN ANIME VERSION!! MUST SEEEEE!!
I like the one on the right cuz it looks more tougher lol that's just me : - )
the tony stark on the left sure doesn't look like the alcoholic depressed billionaire playboy I know
LOL Agreed, he looks way to composed and poised, but does have sort of a lonely look, or maybe that's just me
We-ll, he does look 'bishounen' enough to sort of fill the 'billionaire playboy' archetype... ^_^ And is it me, or is he sporting a ponytail? His hair seems to be pulled back pretty tight.
pretty boy sure, drunk and depressed, no
Oh it is looking good. Animified Iron man. And though he may not look like the billionaire playboy Tony Stark we all know, he does look cool though. Love the stare.
No mustache? Well....I guess they prefer some heroes with no mustache......
I Agree. Let them do whatever they want on the story, BUT KEEP THE MOUSTACHE!!! ^^;
It's only more confirmed that they don't like their protagonists to have facial hair.
oooh very cool the guy on the left reminds me of Blassreiter. Niθ doing characater designs? That would be awesome :D~ Especially for the female characters ^^
ooh not only IronMan, but it looks like Wolverine and two more works will be anime-ized :D
really? Now this i gotta see. Especially wolverine. Everyones favorite mutant. ^^
Yep. That's correct ^__^ I'm waiting for Madhouse to release some character designs of Wolverine and the other two unannounced works
WHAT??!! Iron Man ... Anime??!!! O_O I want to see it <3
Freaking sweet! Looks awesome ^_^
Is this from the same company as Gotham Knight? Looks promising...
I don't know. Modern Madhouse stuff seems to be heavy on the technical proficiency, but light on entertaining substance. I'm mainly commenting on previous collaborations with American companies: The Animatrix, Highlander - The Search for Vengeance, and Batman - Gotham Knight. All of them have looked pretty, but have ultimately felt sterile, unsatisfying, and even boring. It's a shame, since early Madhouse stuff was cutting edge in so many ways. There's just something missing now.
Finally Ironman is becoming famous. I do expect a different feel and version since it is anime now.
cool... plus i really like Madhouse... so it's double good for me.
The thing about this, with which I beleive will cause me not to want to watch it, is the one main thing that I both love, and hate about anime. Generally anime (especially those with this type of style) tend to make characters go around doing irrational poses, and having redundant conversation, all the while, giving characters a cold, stark (no pun intended) soulless personality. I dont think that Tony Stark could be correctly portrayed in this way. For instance, anyone who has seen the gotham knight animation collection, there is one particular story, with a style very similar to this. Nothing happened in that story, Bruce Wayne stood around, had some reduntand conversations, and posed. Well only time will tell, I'm sure that either way it comes out, people will love it all the same.
Madhouse failed; Stark isn't Stark w/o the 'stache. Also, I'm still waiting for my Batman anime series....>.>
guess either japan or america ran out of idea huh? why america ppl don't do the animation itself? they made the original superhero theme is somehow not match for anime IMO, those facial hair and human like detail
YES! THE WORLD IS STILL ALIVE!
The suit look totally nice...but Tony Stark...nah, I think they didn't gave him the right look.
for now, it has my approbation.
