Toilets in America

Toilets in America
One thing that really got on my nut about public toilets in America - they all had this big gap at the bottom. The gap between the hinge and the frame was huge too so that you could easily see in side.

The toilets in Amazon HQ were the same too and because everybody knows each other its like "ah, dannys taking a dump."
Are toilets like this in your region?

Reminds me of when I went to school in Richmond. One time I was taking a dump and everyone outside knew it was me because I was the only white kid in the school XD

I tend to avoid public toilets, at the most, I'll use a urinal. Can't stand those toilets, specially since...well you don't know if the guy before you actually aimed properly... if you know what I mean :s.

lol, I wonder though, how do you go to the toilet while in armor. gotta be hard taking off the black body suit.
with regards to toilet cubicle floor gap, I do find that the ones in America seems to be higher than anywhere else in the world, is it because they are taller so they need it that high to see the feet of the person inside to know that the toilet is occupied?

Armor has been modified for quick pee.
But for a poo its a pain as the whole armor has to come off - and risk skid marks getting on the armor.

I may be wrong, but maybe it is for safety reasons... Imagine someone hiding in the toilets at school,at the theater or in the mall.
You see, hide-and-seek is not really a fun game for security guards in that precise situation (Better to sit down without any haunting thoughts and enjoy some well-deserved donuts). So I must admit, those "badly dimensioned" doors have been made on purpose. Brilliant!

(Now if you sensed some sarcasm in my speech, you won)

on a semi related note, I once saw one without doors, one would think that wold be okay, but a woman was in a cubicle with a squat toilet right in front of the door to the hallway, peeing while talking to a guy outside. one of my friends couldn't help but shout out an OMG! after which both of them glared at us angrily. ^^;

our stalls are mixed, but the most of em' usually have walls (ie concrete och some softer material) but those paper stall's do occur aswell (mcdonalds)

if it happends to be my lucky day i will use anything to do my duties as long as i am alone, cant squeeze anything if i hear something or if someone is near

toilets here has your standard walls like those you see in most places and we also have those concrete walls which doesn't leave a space at the bottom.

if ever i want to take a dump when i'm outside, i'd take the paid toilet lounge which is found at most malls here. these paid toilet lounges has amnesties like what you find at exclusive 5-star hotels ^__^

All American restrooms are like this. I think they are like this in Mexico and Canada also, not exactly sure since I haven't been to either country in a while. I guess when you are born and raised with all public restrooms like this it just seems normal.

A high percentage of public restrooms in my area are being converted to where they provide alot more privacy, they made the stalls tall enough to where no one can just peer over (especially tall people.) They also make them to where you can no see a person's feet at all. Although I still try not to use public restrooms though.

Grown up with that style of public bathroom so it's no big deal. I always go for the handicapped stall since it's bigger and affords more privacy. Since I live in Idaho I do have to watch out for Larry "Widestance" Craig though.

Here the only thing you can catch a look at is the shoes, and lately most toilets are all without the gap anywhere, i neverminded the gap and i always thought it was nice if you where like klaustrophopic or something and had to take a dump.

The gap on the floor don't bother me much. You can see some one's feet to indicate if there is a person in the stall.
But the big gap in the door bugs the hell out of me. I don't whant any one peaking in.

get this...Some toilets at my school don't have any doors! It's just a cinderblock wall up to the top of the toilet (so yes everyone can see you) and then there is no door. There might as well be just a toilet in the middle of the hallway...

HAHAHA try going in a public park restroom or even a beach restroom out here where I live. There's no door so they know you're on it because they see you sitting stark booty squatting on the toilet.

When you work in an office building you get used to it. They're kept spotless where I work, fortunately. I can forgo privacy for anonymity if necessary.

And I laugh when I find a makeshift toilet-paper curtain, because I've never known anyone to WANT to peek. To me, it's much worse to have two stalls, and no "white" noise to mask one's efforts, like moving air in vents or elevator music as a last resort. Bleah.
