Owner of the beautiful Chua Churam figure will know that while everything about the figure is gorgeous, the only downside is that her guitar doesn't come with strings. This particular collector here certainly did a wonderful job by adding stings to the guitar. You may read more about how he did the modification here. I feel like doing the same too but am afraid i might not be skilled enough to pull it off and ended up making a mess of things. :-/
Saw that days ago. Very detailed! Love the job!
I'd rather go without the strings than to make a mess and have the result look shoddy (very likely) or breaking some part of the figure (not very likely).
LOL I did the same thing on my Alter Haruhi because it didn't have strings why? BECAUSE IT WAS BOOTLEG T_T well anyways .. yeah you could give it a try haha I used very thin nylon on mine just super glue it .. but yeah ..IT WILL look VERY bad if you did it wrong haha
Awesome wirk, makes the figure even better!
It's really a good job o.o
oh wow.. that looks really good. He must have some delicate hands for that small guitar.
Wow... thats freakin' awesome. But imagine how much more it would cost if it came with strings already attached? lol
What escapes me is why manufacturers don't just add them in the first place. If they have the time and resources to hand paint every single figure on a mass produced scale, then surely they have the time to add a few strings -_- But anyway, thats pure awsome.
great work! it is a real treat to add or modify something to your own liking. you feel a sense of accomplishment in it.
Oh I will definitely try that. I don't think it would be too hard to do. You just need the proper tools - tweezers, crazy glue, and precision scissors. You'd crazy glue one end (the strum end first) and after it dries, pull the strings taut and crazy glue the other end. After that dries, snip off the excess string. DONE!
Not bad, it's very skillfully done.
