Shimada Fumikane (responsible for Sky Girls, mecha Musume) snapped a copy of Ace Combat 6 in half and posted the picture on his blog.
that post is under going serious blasting and has accumulated 582 comments so far. Hope this does not affect the production of Sky Girls - Im behind so don't even know if its still on ^^;
i must not be caught up with something here, what does the snapped disk represent?
My thoughts exactly, what's the gripe with Ace Combat 6? or is Microsoft hate just popular in Japan?

I don't know what reason he has for snapping that disc, and I'm not sure if I want to. If it's a feud between consoles then this may be off hand, but I always found it funny about the rants between PS3 and 360 users. I remember back in the day, when all xbox had going for it was the fact that it was a stronger system in terms of specs. PS2 however had a library of games under the belt, and sony fans claimed to have had the better system because of that. Now that the current generation has come around, they have reversed roles, but the same sony fans claim that their console is still better only because of the consoles specs itself, though developers have a hard time to adjust to the programming environment. Sucks :(

Boo, Ace Combat is one of my favorite game series. I only snapped one disc and it was the PS1 game Chrono Cross 1st disc cause it always froze up.
Maybe he wants to become a new modern art creator? Just kidding. That is quite something strange to do, if you want my opinion.
I have cracked a few disc's in my time, but only when they freeze up at critical moments never because a game sucked
Apparently, He broke the disk simply because he didn't like the game. The bits about the PS1 and PSP are relating to the fact that he says he's played every game in the series thus far but he dislikes this one enough to break it. Console fanboy? maybe, but it's unlikely as his scorn is pointed directly at AC6. Me? I haven't played one since AC4.
it seems he is very disappointed at the game. He was a fun of AC6, but I guess it wasn't good. Then most of people posted there said he shouldn't post the picture and they think he should delete it otherwise more and more people post criticise comments.
maybe he himself didn't do it, but his xbox360 cracked the disc, come on, we all know that the 360 scratches discs like a DJ

As a huge fan of the Ace Combat series and a loyal sony fan, i was disappointed in the fact that this game became available on the xbox instead of sony playstation, so im actually not that surprised.
PLEASE DONT LET IT AFFECT SKY GIRLS!! PLEASE DONT!! And heh, thats something I didnt know... he did Mecha Musume too? Not suprising seeing how similar the series are in theme.... lol

I only snap dvd-rs and cdrs that fail during the burn process, and I guess once I snapped a Creed CD cuz I couldn't stand it :X
