The staple food over here is rice but when there is a shortage of rice people eat their cats instead. Via Byonavi via Yukawanet.
LOL.. you're kidding right...? Right?!
he is. ... well, i think.
Staple food in the Philippines is rice too! But sometimes deprived people or those who like exotic delicacies eat fried or roasted RODENTS instead. An acquired taste, I presume.

I use this whenever I visit your site http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/637/1184174865287vn5.jpg
LOL... but it does make sense... I mean, a cat does have fur... and it could be used for wiping... I mean, WTH...!
Could scratch your little bro.
Mmm, cats.
Doesn't beat eating dog

Cat with noodles are better~: http://koneko.mayulive.com/galleries/Random/lcugwcwm.jpg
A little fun being poked at the "nekonabe" fad, I suppose...
rofl. cat has became good use to us eh?
really? I always thought it was dogs. http://www.dannychoo.com/blog_entry/eng/215/Hungry%3F/ ^^
I almost forgot, with regard to eating cat, there's an old urban legend in the Philippines that says steamed chinese pork buns here are made out of kitty meat. then again kitty buns are much better than the cardboard variety they have in China. ^^ http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/07/12/health/main3049080.shtml?source=RSSattr=Health_3049080
Weird recycling... I mean remorseless revolting scams they did in China! Jail should be for them. -_-;
Lol. Thats true! welll not realy, they just say that so that people will not eat too much junk food and nobody really knew how they made those steamed buns, until now. But they really are neko-free.
Oh GOD! Shouko-Tan Has started a trend!!!
Small rice cooker? or very large cat??
The rice cooker does look a bit small, but if I had stuffed my anorexic cat into my big cooker it'd look like this pretty much
"It's such a comfortable place to stay in, nyan~..." Especially if you find cat hair in your rice. ;)
sound tasty :)
cat flavored steamed rice, the cat hairs add texture to the dish
It's not that weird if you think about it. From where you may be (let's use America) you eat beef or pork which in other countries are saying "What?" Just like you are when you see others do eat cats or dog per say. So it's really a cross culture thing. What's weird to you might be weird for them. But all in all is it true that there are cat steam buns? Just wondering.
