One of the best things about commuting in Japan - trains are full O pictures of 2D and 3D girlies.
Do you have nice stuff to look at on transportation in your region?

The majority of advertisement on trains and buses around her tends to be shouty (visually loud) ugly, and entirely content-free. I don't mind content-free if the ad is nice to look at, but if it has to be ugly and "in my face" then I'd like it to tell me a bit about what I'm looking at and why I need to be looking at said ugly and "in-my-face" item.

Ads like the ones you've got are significantly nicer, but they'd be pulled in about ten seconds after someone complained here.

nothing that provocative here although there's a condom ad on the trains these days, which is kinda bold given the narrowed-minded society here.
made in japan btw :)
those ads look rather messy. I find it distracting with too many gals clustered together.
i prefer those ads that feature one gal. 2d too i may add ^^

In the subway, some people buy entire cars to put their ads in. If you're lucky enough to be in the beer ad car, it's nice eye candy. However, most of the time you are stuck with the public service ads about no littering, running down stairs, etc. The density of Japanese ads is drastically different. JR seems to have a lot more girls per area than the New York subway, which seems to space girls out more.

Ads like those are mostly found in our train stations. There was this one incident where a large billboard about a girl wearing a swimsuit doing a pose caused so much traffic. They brought it down of course after that. Well I guess that means that ads like that are allowed here provided that they don't "disrupt" anyone aka the drivers LOL XD

No, here I can only look at shitty graffiti(not even that, just name tags) on most buses and trams. Underground has more ads but nothing interesting to mention except for one time; there was a loli girl sitting on an apple. That was cute, but the only advertisement that got my attention so far.

Only the local buses have ads where I'm from. If someone is going to put thier own ad anywhere in my town, one of three things may happen.

1) People with spray paint will come talk to you.
2) People will shout profanities at you while they pass by.
3) Your gonna get arrested.

I haven't taken the train in a long time, so I can't really speak for that. There's no adverts inside our buses or taxi's but..
Taxi's are 'modified' over here, chrome, a system.. the whole deal. Decals are a must. You'll only understand it if you've lived in SA for a long time, it's not funny unless you get it.. something like that XD
Might I add that taxi and bus drivers here are very dangerous ^^;

My bad, I did not elabororate enough...
The taxi and bus drivers tend to be very unsafe drivers. Running red lights are fairly common...
This is in general and as of late the transport systems are better. The drivers have hard laws against them, so we feel safer now.

Nope, no ads like that at all over here. We have ads but just as it was mentioned in posts before mine, they're usually ugly and in your face. If ads like the ones in your pic were put up in public over here, the county would get thousands of phone calls from people complaining that the ads are too risque and demanding that they be taken down. Quite sad how narrow-minded people here are.

In the UK our trains are full of old McDonalds wrappers and used copies of Metro. While in Japan last year I fell in love with the woman advertising McDonalds burgers - she was really hot.

Also is the Yamanote line train still running that had the paper cutlery hanging down from the ceiling? It was the coolest advertising I've seen for a while.
