Looks like the Maid uniforms are advancing to a new level.
I know there are maid cafes in Singapore but how about in other regions?

ya danny. there's 1 maid cafe in singapore, it opened last december. not sure whether you know, the boss is a 17 years old (now) girl. she set up the shop with funds from her brother. other than managing the shop, she dress up as a maid and do waitressing as well. ^^;

Not a one in my region, and probably not one in all of Canada. I highly doubt that will change anytime soon. Maids don't even dress like that around here let alone waitresses in cafes.

It's pretty much the definition of ordinary, actually. The only thing that makes it feel remotely different from a normal cafe is the uniforms.

So um... the news footage show a maid out of a hentai anime. How nice of them to always relate anime to anything sexual when they've got other maid animes they can pick from.

I'm curious about this cafe too... maybe I'll drop by if I ever get around to Toronto again.

I don't think there'll ever be a maid cafe in Sydney. You could probably go down to the Cross and ask a stripper to dress up as one though. The only maids in the western world that dress up like that are in pornos :/.

@Piro
Yeah, I'd start one here in Aus, but I have a feeling that things would go downhill. Either someone would complain about it being anti-feminist or something like that, or summer would roll around and you'd just have a bunch of drunk lads and basic skinheads making life hell.

If you thought about it, you could probably get away with calling it an "adult establishment" or a gentlemen's club. I mean, they have topless pubs around here, so you could just the maid getup was a fetish thing.

Don't know about in the States, but there is at least one in Canada. I Maid Cafe is in Scarborough ON, http://www.imccanada.com That would make it somewhere in the northeast Toronto area.

yup, there is one in Scarborough, been there a couple of times. Although they serve Chinese foods, and many of the maids there have a heavy accent when speaking English.

well, it is chinese owned, so almost all the girls working there are either mandarin or cantonese. the food isn't particularly to my taste, and you can tell the owner is kind of perverted though

I wonder if the maid cafe thing will caught on in the States. I doubt it because no girls would want to feel degraded calling customers "master" Or am I wrong? Hmmm, heck i'd want to have a cafe like that though. Pastries and coffee served by a maid. Can't get better than that.

No, we don't have "maid cafés" there, we have strip clubs, Hooters and bordellos which are better than silly maid cafés, but only slightly. All of these places are sad.

I seen it on Animax interviewing Maid Cafe in S'pore. Unfortunately, Islamic country like M'sia will never legally allow such cafe to be exist. How can I be sure? because I'd tried to summit proposal reagarding opening Maid Cafe in KL Times Square to Corporate Commission of M'sia (SSM), my application got rejected after summition of company name search...........
