Went to a convenience store to pick up some strawberry milk and saw this sign at the checkout. Thinking about chickens that have not been born gave me a giggle. Maybe they should have put "fresh eggs" instead. Whats the most amusing Engrish that you have seen?
lol, no born chicken is more expensive than the ones who had born
maybe it's more tender? i can't upload the picture i took today at the chinese supermarket but i found something called, "Dehydrated Rape" i have no idea what it was supposed to be
Nothing beats a nice big bowl of rape in the morning.
LOL I really need to see that picture!
i'll take a picture of it with a camera if i get the chance
What in the world....but i'm better off not seeing one lol...
Dehydrated Rape is a vegetable that's much similar to Patchoi-Rape is a lot greener though
LOL, no born chicken FTW!!!
This one always makes me smile. http://img23.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=97441_image01515_122_704lo.jpg
LOL!
wow..the Olympics is gonna be really safe...>_>
LOL
ROFLMAO XD
the original chinese sentence is funny too. ^^
omg LOL.
LOl...
lol!
Hahaha... nice one.
i third the LOL! XD darn I'm now thinking of keeping an extra mini phone "just in case"
ME: Hello, I'd like to report a theft. Operator: Alright, what has been stolen? Me: Um...me? They said they had candy, but I haven't found any yet--and this trunk isn't very spacious either... O.o
HA!!!
And this one almost killed me --_-- http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/3164/pleasedonotannoyho8.jpg lol .... dunno what language it's in though
Awesome!
LOL
Ah, its in marathi - one of the many languages spoken in india. It is mainly a dialect of state of maharashtra.
LOL molest an animal... I can never imagine...
can't even imagine poeple raeping an animal...
That sign is very straight to the point! XD
That's a vast use of vocabulary. Don't even understand the meaning of some of the words there ^^
OMG Thesaurus rape! XD I can see the conversation now: ". . . Sir, how do you translate this word into English? There's no exact match." "Just grab that thesaurus thing over there and put down every single word they list."
I'm scared of no born chicken.... LOL
"no born" ==> "no bone" Is it mean boneless chicken ? Well at least that how understand it
i was thinking they were selling frien chicken embryos??? ***ewww****GAG****HACK*****blah...rrff**
FRIED....
Your right! lol Danny it's 'No bone' in engrish! at Famima...famichiki
The ones that get me every time is 'brick, do not eat', and 'Emergency Trap' hovering above the doors to one of my friend's offices as the fire escape. You never know when you might need a trap. In an emergency. How else will you catch the elusive moe meido to add to your harem! D:
I just looked up ファミチキ and indeed it is boneless-ファミチキ(骨なし) obviously a huge typo seeing as r is next to e but how did r get before the n i dont know =o
Well as you can see its extra expensive because they have to use their time machine to go into the future to bring those chickens back to our time when they are yet to be born. Curious question It says No born Chicken but what is it trying to actually say?

i was shocked, no born chicken? LOL! ^_^ i remembered a funny sign beside a construction site here in our country, it says: "SLOW MEN AT WORK"
thanks to DRB http://lh6.ggpht.com/abramsv/SIKwY670LsI/AAAAAAAAVxk/rfnXRM2f-3k/s1600-h/8076.jpg enjoy!
brilliant!
indeed brilliant!!! LoL Orz
LoL!!
ah sorry i forgot to mention, for those who don't know, DRB is darkroastedblend.com great site for procastinating..... ^^"
XD
I can't even imagine what 'no born chicken' looks like. XP
Well... Atleast they did their best, right?
Does it mean Real Chicken(not injected, chemically hatched etc)?... since Chicken is not born but hatched....
LOOOOOOOOOOOOL no born chicken... what a pitiful translation ^^; I guess they wanted to mean "breaded chicken", with breadcrumbs. In France we call this "pané", which pronunciation is similar to "pas né", which indeed means "not born". Kids always joke about that, but more with breaded fish (fishsticks) they have at school for lunch ^^
Here's one I took personally: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b227/Cocobeans142/PICT0558.jpg Happy face!!!! I've seen so much engrish that I can't seem to think of any specific ones at the moment. :/
lol happy face...
This article totally made my day!
I've gathered a few engrish signs myself. ^^ http://www.marvinryan.com/blog/2008/04/10/engrish-signs/ http://www.marvinryan.com/blog/2005/11/23/pinoy-reetin-englesh-written-english/ http://www.marvinryan.com/blog/2006/09/01/bad-signs/ http://www.marvinryan.com/blog/2007/12/04/japan-priority-seats/
LOL SLIPPY!
lol at the train signs
So there is... No Born Chicken Spicy *Chiken* and Fried Chicken. So what's a Chiken? So I looked it up in Japanese to see what it meant in English. "diagnosis, opinion, knowledge" ^^; Also, So Danny has ads on the site with 3D nudity now! :O
Very funny, one that I've seen a few times is the Lamb Raisin ice cream instead of Rum Raisin, since both are written RAMU in katakana.
Quite the paradox that one ^^
There are just too many great Engrish pictures out there. This restaurant is a pretty safe place, ...: http://www.engrish.com/image/engrish/cabbages-condoms.jpg ...but Sony prefers terrorism: http://www.engrish.com/image/engrish/sony-terror.jpg
That restaurant has the best name ever.
Went to L.A. and visited a restaurant named Khun Dom... its thai -.-
Might be childish, but I still laugh at Thai restaurants with "phuc" in the name... :P
The most amusing Engrish I've seen actually was not Engrish, but someone mistaking it for such. I've been going to this one musician's MySpace page from time to time and he's posted some photos of his visit to Japan. One of them was of a shoe store he thought had an amusing name. One reply was made bringing up the word "Engrish" on the shoe store's name. Problem was, The Athlete's Foot is a Philadelphia-based company. It always comes back in an embarrassing way when one assumes the founder doesn't know his/her own language. Of course, I laugh. :-)
When I was in Japan a couple of weeks back, during my tour of Hokkaido there was this one nature trail park place, there was a video playing in the souvenir shop about the foxes that lived there and at one part the subtitles read "who did eat this ate this bark" with a picture of a fox standing next to a tree or something like that. I have no idea what is means, but I thought it was pretty funny.

No Born Chicken:P Nice Engrish.
Me catch no balls about 'no born'. :P
LOL ashamed @ Shanghai that the world top high class city... In Malaysia you sure won't saw that kind of sign... I better study my English better and go Japan or China become English professor....
Have one to share http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v324/keesoon/Photo-0375.jpg taken in a shopping complex in Shanghai
sorry it's Wuxi, China... sorry couldn't edit post XD
Its indeed a vehicle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K97Crr9a4WQ
"No born chicken" what is it taste??
Not necessarily Engrish I guess since the grammar and spelling is top notch. But the "Did you cum twice too? Feel so dirty!!! I need a tongue bath" shirt Hirano Aya sported in the Gekisou Concert DVD had me chuckling. Too bad we can't get away with shirts like that where I am.
LoL!!!
Famichikin? Chicken family like eggs and other assorted parts? It's really kinda gross if you think about it.
