i know how you feel, i never had glasses broken, but in japan i was playing soccer in school and i was goalie, lets just say my nose is a good goalie.

In Canada Football(or Soccer) is a fun and safe sport. Hockey is where all the injuries occur- well, are actually heard of.
Although I can play any type of sports football has always been my weak point, thats because I mess up a lot with my feet, that's why I always play as a defender or a goalkeeper.
Enjoy watching the world cup very much, but otherwise there are alot more popular sports in Canada that are readily available ie. Hockey. I'd throw down if someone aimed for me with a ball. Bring it on!

It's the best in the world, in fact I played just last night at a local field. Awesome how it brings people together, then again so does this site.

played it, as a goalkeeper and got tramp a lot by ball, i can't catch it, so i use my body instead :( don't watch football to much, just not interested in it

I also dont watch football, but I do enjoy to play. Normally I'm the girly goal keeper who gets hit with the ball in very malevolous ways. I actually laugh and cry at the same time....

well, i enjoyed football when it comes to friendly match because makes me laugh if they do any stupid things like accidentally 'threw' their shoes when aim for the goal, and make many mistakes especially for girls who played it. I can do every role like goalkeeper, forward, back, and midfield player. But these are taking much time to understand what are the real thing...
Started playing only 3 years ago. My girlfriend then got me into it. Been addicted to it ever since. I play futsal twice a week and the ball there is much heavier. Playing keeper for that game is a whole lot of fun *sarcasm*.

Never really got into soccer either. On a slightly related subject, this happened to me in just about every game of basketball. The guy with the ball would look me in the face as he dribbled, then drillit right into my face. Afterward, they had the nerve to look shocked.
