Tsundere Cafe

(Otaku(77)
Sun 2008/06/29 19:57
Hijacked from Aiko-chan who discovered a video clip of a tsundere cafe where you pay to be treated badly by waitresses.
Most of you would probably say "do not want" but what if the waitresses were really really cute? Would you still not want to go?
There is a bonus at the beginning of the clip - the gorgeous Kaho-chan.
Original text from Aiko below.
Had you been to a Tsundere Cafe or interested in going? this is how a tsundere cafe works..

I'd love to visit one, if just for the experience. But you'd have to go with friends so u can laugh at one another's reactions, otherwise it'd probably get a bit annoying.

This cafe should have a disclaimer at the entrance warning customers that their waitresses are 90% tsun and 10% dere, otherwise those expecting 50/50 for tsun and dere might get disappointed at being yelled at all the time. lol

I can't understand the appeal of someone who delight in snapping at you or treating you as an outlet for abuse. Yeah, if you think it's going to improve after both of you get married, I'm just going to laugh at you. Fantasy seldom translate well to reality.

That said, I think I prefer a girl in traditional definition of tsundere instead of its modern evolution. Classic portrayal of traditional tsundere would be tsun-tsun Katherine being "tamed" to her dere-dere version in Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" (as mentioned by Shiraishi in Lucky Channel, a change over time). Modern evolution of tsundere would be 90% tsun-tsun Haruhi tempered against her 10% dere-dere in episodes such as Someday In The Rain. Kyon sure has his work cut out for him.

LOL at the drink. I remember Itoshiki Nozomu of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (season 2 ep 13) where he ended up in a tsundere cafe. He couldn't take it. But me being a bit too fiesty wouldn't want to try it. I might transform into an Akiba slasher or something haha

My sentiments exactly. If I happen to have the misfortune of going into a tsundere café by mistake, I'd tase the bitch and run. Anyone who's into this tsundere thing has got to be absolutely sick, especially if they don't see anything wrong with Haruhi mistreating Mikuru-chan or otherwise treating other people like objects for her to use. Watching an episode of the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya always makes me wish that poor Mikuru-chan would become a yandere and give Haruhi what she deserves.
