I used to play with Lego a lot. My whole childhood ... All the parts seem to be regular ones, in any case I can't spot any parts I don't know. He may have colored them, though. I could probably copy the parts visible on the picture. It's impressive o_o especially how he built the joints. Yet somehow useless ... he should make some 3D-Model with Maya or sculpture it or anything.

oh my god, i want it. though i remember when i was little me and my friends would make them ourselves before we even heard of Gundam. We called them Mobile Suite, kind of funny since we never saw Gundam back then in the 90s lol

More like Mobile-Sweet. I always build killer robots out of my legos as a kid. I would even make little robot ninjas with lightsabers. Then, I would build a nice big House, and those highly detailed trucks with the helicopter in the back? .. and Destroy them with the Robot. Booyah.

If I'm not mistaken, bandai does have a merchandise called 'mega-bloks' which is a lego-like concept, where one can mix n match to create models that not available in its production.
