Variation of the GN-X

Based on the GN-X Tau Drive, and the GN-X. However, it uses more parts from the Thrones.

From the model number, it should be a GN-X prototype.

actually 00V takes place in the future from original 00, so it must be an upgrade from GN-X not an prototype ^^

Not that correct.

The Avalanche Exia is sighted by Robert in his early days as a young photographer.

The Dynames Torpedo is seen in action in 00F chapter 2, which is in the same timeline as the TV anime.

I think the the Shell Flag is in the big desert battle in the anime.

So it could still be a prototype that is pretty well hidden to be revealed in the future.

What should be correct is that the MS were already there, its that it is until later that Robert Spacy decide to study MS development and wrote those articles.

Waiting for better and full scans to extract info.

How come all the really good-looking ones never appear in the anime?!

Probably the designs came after the anime is planned?

Or maybe these designs are set aside to make money via the print media. Manga, photonovels..

More anime going multi-medium (or something).

Wow, I guess I'm the only one that doesn't like this. I like the regular GN-X design a lot more. The only 00V MS I can honestly say I like so far are the Avalanche Exia and the Throne Eins Turbulenz.

It saddens me that side-story's and variation's are the best mobile suit designs. I'd really like to see this as an HG kit, or someone turn this into a resin kit.
