I recently learned that the youngest parents ever were 10 and 11... In China, in 1910. How did they do that, don't ask me. ^^;

I read the 5 year old who got pregnant developed early and was probably raped by her father, but nobody came forward officially.

i heard from somewhere (cant recall where), that there are really rare cases where some of the father's soldier lay dormant within the baby girl's body. and suddenly awakes and impregnant the baby itself after some years. and of course the baby also developed early..
any doctors there to confirm?

I think it's impossible considering that normally a sperm unit 'died' 24-72 hours...

For it to stay dormant for 5 years is just unthinkable.. But then again, yesterday i would say that a 5 years old to give birth is unthinkable..

However Wiki lies a lot so hesitate when you read it. I must say whoever gets a baby before the age of 17 must of been hit by a rapist >.> Its just weird and socially wrong to see someone as young as that having a baby. Ah well society swings in every twisted direction which can't be stopped simply.

"I must say whoever gets a baby before the age of 17 must of been hit by a rapist".... That's not necesarly true. In midlle school you can be very stupid and very horny (both males and females). Also, there are rural areas where the girls get married (and have children) at around 15 or 16.... not that I'm in favour of it, but I don't think every case should be considered "rape"

The last time i checked, the legal age to have sex in Japan is 14... anyone got the recent scoop on such info?
Must be because of the declining birth rates.

When i got an X-ray at 11, they checked to see if i was preggo in my region.

If anyone saw my earlier comment to the low marriage age in Japan about the Philippines having girls marrying at around 16, would probably realize some reasons to it...but marriage laws have now changed the legal marrying age to around 18 (?)

(btw, this was commented that it's a rarity)Some girls are forced to marry early because they get pregnant early on either out of ignorance or yes, rape....and we're not allowed to do abortions here so yes, tis rather (un)fortunate.

** on another note, I replied earlier about the age given for the x-rays.. it's not really that safe to x-ray a baby or a very old person. it's radiation and god knows what if you get overexposed. So no, I don't think the 12-60 is merely to indicate age or the youngest/oldest pregnancy average...

12 yrs is too young to have a baby and 50 seems too old to have one too. i mean by the time the lad's 70, the kid will be 20, and just out of college.
parents will have to work till 73 or so till the kid can look after them.

I wonder how the doctor would go about telling a 12-year old girl that he/she is going to check her for signs of pregnancy before an x-ray.

My gut feeling says that he/she would simply say "Okay, before we go for an x-ray, do this."

I guess it would depend on the region and people. If the average lifespan is really low, it may be the only way for those ppl to survive. Not that i'm condoning 5 yr olds should be getting pregnant.
