RX-78 Gundam Ver. 2.0

RX-78 Gundam Ver. 2.0
This is the "prototype" for the next MG model, the RX-78 Gundam Ver. 2.0.
What do you think of its "retro anime" design?

At this point, really nothing from the OYW will excite me, save for a MG Gouf 2.0. Meh on the RX-78-2 vers 2.0, and meh on the MG Guntank as well. Like I said in the other thread, I would much rather see stuff from series that haven't gotten much MG love such as Gundam Wing/Endless Waltz, Gundam X, Victory Gundam, Gundam ZZ, etc. Hell, even something from Gundam 00 would interest me a lot more than this OYW stuff. Ah well, new stuff that doesn't interest me = more time to catch up on old stuff that does interest me.

It looks like the first Gundam did in the animation back in 1979. They've produced a really faithful execution of that image as a highly articulate model. With that in mind, we shouldn't expect it to be made of fancy gimmickness.

While I'm definitely a OYW fan, though, I would still agree with the above comment that some more diverse MGs would be nice. (Tallgeese.) Nevertheless, the Gundam deserves the ver. 2.0 treatment, and perhaps after the present spate of new OYW kits, they'll move on to some different material.

Because the proportions are true to its original appearance, the new Gundam ver 2.0 is a bit hideous. I'm disappointed since I was looking forward to something sharper/stylish/slender like how the new MG Impulse would look. That being said... I'm now gonna pick up the OYW model instead. The 2.0 shouldn't be THAT much of an improvement over the current Rx-78-2 >_>

well... one cant except much.
sure beef up the 2.0 abit, more details that u need to draw with the black marker, some things are wider. not sure if there is any new gimmick on the joins or so....need more info on that
