Chicken Eats Chicken

Chicken Eats Chicken
See this a lot in Japan - food manufacturers that use an animal to promote its own meat.
Here you see a chicken showing you how to make chicken nuggets.

Nissin also do the same - a chick used to promote chicken ramen.

I always found this idea somewhat cruel and twisted... Especially when you see/learn that farm animals can be raised, fed and killed in an awful manner.
But it's just me.

No, not vegan, but hopefully I am not a red meat freak/carnivore (especially not the fresh one).
Chicken bologna, sardine and tuna (with rice or pasta) are what I eat the most often as animal meat.

but you know, it's a sad fact that the animals have to die in such a manner to feed the hungry masses.

though, if you try not to think of it that way, it makes things alot easier.

Sadly, there is not much we can do about this, except to express some discontentment over those practices, but even that won't prevent much.
We are in societies of mass consumption and waste (consuming). It's a truth to realize.

We have been eating meat for millions of years. I don't see why we need to stop just because we feel sorry for something that we don't need to feel sorry about. We are the dominant species of this planet. I suggest we act the part. Personally, I feel more sorry for our fellow humans that can't even eat decently. My 2 cents.

I love my meat.

here's a funny thought. Humans don't have the necassary bodily functions to break down fat and cholesterol that we eat from animals, so that is why HUMANS BECOME FAT!! We were not bred to be carnivores for this fact, other animals such has wolves and even dogs have certain enzymes that help them digest the fat and cholesterol of the animals they kill.

as for dairy, our bodies also lack the necassary enzymes to digest LACTIC ACID from cows and other such animals. Lactose Intolerant people are actually an evolutionary change where they body is tired of working extra hard to digest the lactic acids of other animals, so it starts producing a chemical that changes the lactic acid into a methane gas, or causes severe cramps in the digestive system.

And know you know, because KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!!!

I understand what you mean, even if those animals are to be eaten in the end, they still should be provided living environment matching their natural environment and not on tightly spaced cage or something like that. I agree with you.

And to add more things, I heard the hormone of stressed animals (those grown badly) is different from the hormone of normal animals.

It is funny that animals that are able to live in more natural conditions (like chicken being fed outdoors and free to roam around) are more expensive than industrial ones.
It's logical and twisted at the same time. ^^;

Haha i'm eating a pack of tuna with a happy dolphin on it. I'm pretty sure tuna comes from tuna fish, not from dolphin. ^^

I think using a chicken to sell chicken really works. If you're illiterate in Japanese, you can at least see a picture of what the product is. Having another animal would be misleading.

I think that means the tuna you're eating is from tuna freindly fishermen. whenever fishing boats spot dolphins out in the seas, that means that there's tuna underneath them, sometimes when they net those tuna, the dolphins get caught along with the tuna and die from suffocation. seeing happy tuna on the label means they don't use the same method of catching tuna.

Almost cried, especially the part between 0:59 and 0:48. I would make it my pet... no, rather let it leave freely and peacefully in its natural environment. My last diving trip in Bali, I spent nearly 5 minutes at about 40m underwater in hopes of seeing one of those babies, but in vain, and nearly ran out of oxygen while making my ascent lol. this is just a case of making a chicken promote and say "eat me". ^^
then again its the same as having the pillsbury doughboy sell baking products or Mr. Peanut selling Planters products. On the other hand it makes one wonder what Ronald McDonald and Col. Sanders are actually selling. ^^;

Yes, you're right about the Mad Cow disease (with a relative form found in sheep) and its consequences as the Creutzfelt-Jakob disease in humans came from complete greed and laziness as in feeding cows (and other animals) with powder that comes from the remnants of their "brothers and sisters"...
Quite idiotic. And who pays the ultimate price? The consumer, again.

Human cannibalism can lead to an affliction thats the same as mad cow disease. it's called Kuru and it's really fatal. interesting stuff, but its seems to have lost notoriety in modern times. Seems mother nature designed us not to feed on each other lest we face dire consequences.
