I hear and read about how folks didn't like the ending of Claymore but I thought it was good - looks very much like a second season to follow. Have not read the manga - is that still on going?
I thought the ending was fine. Its better than them rushing it and killing off all people left and right to make it end. Also this left it open for a second season Woot. I just started the manga since someone said around some episode the(dont remember what one) anime goes another way and stops following the manga. So im very glad it ended that way. When i was in school on the day it came out all i was thinking is "man Claymore ending going to suck since they are going to rush it." But i was wrong.
I also liked the anime ending. It worked for me. At first I wanted more closure with The Organization, but if we see a new season then I'll wait for it.
I was really satsified with this end I expected. Can not understand why so many folks do not like it...
yea the ending did leave it open for a second season if they decide to continue. the only thing bad i feel is that Claire actually beat pricilla in the fight. i think i would have been better if it ended in a draw or something, since pricilla is even stronger than esley and riful..
Actually, she didn't lose, she imagined Teresa, and due to her fear of Teresa, she tried to run on Clares last charge, which would have failed if her mind was in the right spot. She may be stronger in the manga, but it appears that Easley is stronger in the anime from the end as well. Miria even commented on his "overpowering yoki." But thats just what I pieced together, and agreed, I was satisfied with the ending as well.
Well the ending wasn't bad, but it doesn't look like ending at all. Its just like quiet weather before storm
Ending ain't the best, but it leaves many open opportunity for a second season.
it'll probably take a while for a 2nd season since the manga still have a long way to go before it accumulate enough chapters to start a new season.
If they are planning for a second season anytime soon I guess they'll be deviating from the manga even more. The latest release of the manga is just a few chapters away from the supposedly last epi of season 1 and the next chapter won't be coming out up until november, or so they say.
I did not like the ending at all. Like some people said, it does leave options for the second season, but also path from the manga even more. I like how they continued in Managa, where the organization create the hybrid claymore, and 7 survivors start to investigate into the organization.
Well it wasn't how I thought it would end, but it was a satisfying end that left many a plot line hanging for a second season.
Madhouse announced a second season wih 26 more episodes, I just have no idea how they're pulling this off, probably like 7 years have passed since that battle, Raki's gone missing and stuff like that LOL

If there was a possibility for a second season then they should have followed the manga. Everything is all messed up now because they could not end the first season without that dumb fight of Clare vs. Priscilla. I actually saw the anime before I read that portion of the manga and I still hated it. So it wasn't like I read the manga first and was already set in my ways about how the ending should go. But besides the last few episodes I don't have any complaints about Claymore the anime. Was a worthwhile watch.
