If Hell froze over and the Devil started making Ice cream, these would be his offerings. http://www.who-sucks.com/food/101-frightening-ice-cream-flavors-from-around-the-world Actually, we got corn, cheese, and taro flavored Ice Cream where I'm from too, and they're not bad (not my thing though). Durian's pretty much an acquired taste. What flavor would you try/have tried?
When I was in Thailand I had purple ice cream, that was good and sweet but I never knew what it was made with. Just recently learned that it was probably a yam(sweet potato) ice cream!
i recently learned that purple yam is much sweeter than orange yam (which i see more commonly around here). when i tried purple yam, it wasn't a good batch according to my mother, but even that left a really filling sweetness as an aftertaste. apparently a good purple yam should not just leave the filling sweetness as an aftertaste but as a whole it should be extremely sweet. hooray for natural sweetness ^_^ purple yam seems to be much thinner though so less "meat" compared to orange yams
Carrot flavor was the weirdest tasting ice cream I ate so far. I'd probably try all of them (except the whale flavor). ^^
A while ago I this report on a sunday newspaper about an ice cream store here in Portugal that made their own flavours, which included Steak, Barbecue and Codfish. In a word - YUK!
ZOMG codfish?!?!?!
does anyone remember the candy nerds? I had nerds bubblegum icecream once. never finished the pint and threw it away. ^^
All the ice cream I ever had was standard Singaporean fare... I want to taste wasabi ice cream, if i get the chance. must pack quite a punch.
I have this small iist of ice creams I found in Hong Kong while I was there. i found tofu ice cream, pu erh (a type of chinese tea), popcorn, guava, sesame, tofu red bean, mango black currant, and lavender ice cream. I didn't try them all but the guava was pretty good.
oh and i've tried rose ice cream (number 75 on the list), it's really light tasting with a nice rose scent.
How about Seasalt flavor ice cream? salty at first but sweet! ^^
